The third down when he missed Deebo high on the slant…was kittle look wide ass open running upfield? Anyone else catch that?

Yeah, maybe it did go out of bounds so it was our possession regardless, which what I think you said. The rules have just changed overtime and I'm not sure how that works anymore. So if we fumble it and it goes out of bounds, it's still our ball? For some reason I remember that being a turnover If the other team touched it last or sometbing. I could be wrong

It would be our ball. It only changes possession it's a clear recovery by the other team in play, or it's fumbled through the opponent's endzone.

Not sure. Deebo looked like the first read, was open, and it was missed. Plus Purdy had heat on his blindside.

It's just funny cause we have such high expectations for him because of how he has played. He still played really well and efficient, just missed 2-3 throws we expect him to hit. Honestly, it would of been a very different game if he hits just one of them.. it's fine to miss one or so a game but not 3. At least that's how I view it.

he still did a lot of positive things and maintained his composure throughout a tough gritty game. There was never a time during that game where he could relax, but still came through. Love it

I agree, hitting any of those 3 are big game changers. Two are definitely touchdowns if caught, the 3rd one to Jennings was going to big a huge gain.

Yeah he had 3 overthrows, Deebo, Aiyuk, and Jauan, the first two would have been TDs, but overall Brock was solid, trending upwards.

I think it's pretty cool that after a tough gritty dog fight game like today, we can b***h about THREE specific passes and that's all. That tells me he played pretty well overall.

it also tells me that Brock still has a lot to improve upon and I believe he will, which is exciting.

Agreed 100%

I had to just tell myself "it's week 2, there are still a lot of things to work out". Those plays take time and chemistry. Sometimes a young player just needs to experience it on the field a few times before he gets that final feel for it.

Sometimes I forget that it isn't the end of the season (when we first saw him play) and not being perfect at those throws yet is fine. It's week 2 and we are playing really good, already 2-0 on the road.

Even with those misses, he looked solid and confident and knows what he can improve on.

Got it, then that must be it. Ref saw it up close and clear, explains why it wasn't challenged.

we got a few lucky bounces today, which I'm not complaining - luck is part of the game.
1) the snap that hit Kittles leg and bounced into CMC arms
2) the fumbled snap that Purdy had time to jump on
3) that deebo fumble that we got recovery

I couldn't believe that. It still looks like that should of been a turnover. Even the announcer was like "why would you do that!?" Lol

Announcer was like "ohmygawhd" like Geno

I think that ball was out of bounds when it was picked up by the Rams defender. I thought I saw it pretty clear live, and none of the replay angles were very clear.

We'll just call him.. BROCK " STEADY " PURDY !!!

Steady brockin all night long?

close enough.. at least there's a BEAT to it !!!

We're not trying to win the championship in September and October

That's when the Cowboys win their championships.

I live in Dallas.

Since the giants game there has been daily parades for their championship.

Me too, I live up in Argyle. We're gonna hear it non-stop all week. This is their time of the year to shine.

Damn, I really enjoy and believe in 49ers football with dirty Purdy at the helm. Can't believe we got him where we did. Lol

i look forward to his growth continuing, little by little - by the end of the season we should be an EVEN more fine tuned machine.

on the misses it seemed he was seeing it right, just not accurate, which I guess means he is human, after all
I don't know if there is anyone harder on himself than Brock, he gets visibly frustrated with himself at times, seemed kinda ticked in the postgame

I give Brock a B- today. He was inaccurate, and not just on the three big ones he missed. With that being said, he took care of the ball, made good decisions and commanded the offense well.

We won and that's all that matters. But this kind of performance won't always yield a win.

I thought he did a superb job in the first half at the two minute mark to score with time running out. Showed great command and clock management. Those missed passes to Juan and Deebo can be corrected. I'm glad he showed his arm strength is also returning. I'd say B+. Easy A if he would have connected on one of those deep passes.

Too many people herer just look at the throws. He DIDNT CHOKE like SAFFORD, Like COUSINS on 4th and 8, likie many others would have in an away game against a team that keeps having poositive plays where you have to answer.

You're wrong, he gets an A- due to NO TURNOVERS.

Sorry, no turnovers doesn't mean a QB automatically gets at least an A-. Giving today's game an A- leaves very little room to go up grade wise. Pretty much every game he has played has been better than this. So every game Brock has played in his career is either an A or an A+?

Sorry can't agree at all. I stand by my grade.

The most exciting thing about this is we showed we can win when Brock isn't his best. That's huge.

What was your grade? Are we doing A-F? 0-10? Montana to Carmazzi scale?

Seems about right, IMO.
