I think....Purdy or Shanny needs a bit of a reset. It seems the passing game is a bit too dependent on BA being BA.

When BA went down, I got Jerry Rice going down flash backs. The offense went from unstoppable to shaky just like Steve Young did when jerry went out.

It took a few series, but eventually Deebo was leaned on, Jennings got balls going his way etc.....

Maybe BA is at that point that he can go his at any time, and we need to make sure Jennings/Deebo/Kittle spend some time at the top of the pass progression early in the game.
He played great aside his deep ball accuracy. He missed two easy td's which would have put this game away.

Looks like a pass, lol.

I'm still suspect that mcvay took the field goal to beat the spread. Lol NFL should investigate that. I bet a lot of people lost money on that.

yep. not even trying to hide it.

That was the year gore broke onto the scene. I'm glad he's with the organization again. Even when he left, you could tell he still loved the 49ers. He had so much heart and soul for the game and this organization. He's one of the few players in recent history was that unanimously loved, for good reason too.

Was the following season when Turner was OC that Gore broke out. Smith finished that season 16/16 in td/int I believe.

Kevan Barlow was the man that season. What a time to be alive.

You're right, it was 2006. Gore and smith were 2005 rookies. The only good thing we did for a young Alex was give him a beast running back to lean on. Hahaha

i feel like gore was the last of the "bell cows". Him, peterson, LT. You just don't see it for very long anymore

CMC does a pretty good impression of Roger Craig and Marshall Faulk.

CMC might win awards this year. He's already at
44 Attempts 268 yards

i saw a cool that he is near breaking the record for most consecutive games scoring a touchdown. He also has won every game as a 49er besides the KC. It's crazy that we haven't lost a regular season game with him that he's been here for at least a week lol

way too much. we want this guy playing in december.. shanny needs to share the load

He also had some inaccurate passes on slants and the usual stuff he hits. Luckily guys like Deebo and Kittle adjusted.

But seriously, 23 years old, playing against Donald and a good Rams Defense, he's just calm.
The long pass to Jennings was great and the game changer ultimately. And it was IMHO a more difficult pass than the ones to Aiyuk and Deebo.
Sometimes, I would like Kyle to let him more pass on first downs but it's the beginning of the season, an away game, you take what you can.
And again 30 points scored by the offense and that should have been more between the mistakes in redzone or the flags.

How are we calling this a good Rams defense? I don't think anyone can name 3 defensive players on that team.

overall imo this was his shakiest game as a starter. It's bound to happen, he's still a pup and developing. Early in the season, not worried overall. I do think those deep downfield balls just aren't his thing, similar to Jimmy.
Last time he played on Thursday night he had a broken rib. I expect Brock to do a quick fix, comeback from a broken ego hitting couple of deep ones against the Giants.
I saw Shanny lose his s**t on all 4 of those misses Jimmy G-style. And I loved it. Because you KNOW Kyle had been scheming his usual 2-3 shots a game and Brock missed every one of them...and still won.

Brock's accuracy was off all game (lots of super low passes, behind receivers, poor deep ball, etc.) and we still scored 30. Plus his QB sneak game has gotten so much better!

Brock took responsibility, good. Looking forward to him improving in that area down the road, because in Feb. against KC, PM isn't going to turn into a pumpkin like Stafford.

Deep passes were too flat but if he can start hitting these he may have the highest YPA record. I think he's currently sitting 4th or 5th in the league.

9ers are also tied for 3rd in points scored. Two good road wins against good teams. I know the Rams were thought to be one of the worst in the league this year but given what I've seen the first two weeks I'm going to say they may sneak into the playoffs.

Whydo you say that? He's hit plenty. Maybe his elbow is a little sore.
Reading Grant Cohen commentary on Brock is excruciating. It's like reading an art critic talk about how the frame around the Mona Lisa could be a little wider and made out of hard Oak instead of maple.

I think we're just so stacked that even sloppy games like this vs a team that is clearly not as talented, SF is gonna win. Brock did not play well overall and like you said they still put up 30. He's still developing and can hopefully start hitting those deep balls (I don't think it will ever be plus part of his game).

thankfully we got some late TOs because overall Wilks didn't have a answer for that offense. They moved the ball at will. He started blitzing more which helped because our DL wasn't hitting Stafford liked you'd expect $200M worth of DL to do lol. Early in the yr, get those Ws and improve!

hahaha I didn't read it and I'm sure he's exaggerating…but overall Brock didn't play "great" this game. Inaccurate balls, missed reads and the deep ball stuff is an issue.

this team is so stacked with talent that he doesn't need to be great to win games every week…he's also young and developing. I'm not worried about Brock as far as him just regressing to not being a good QB or anything. I just don't know if he's ever gonna be that elite level QB. Time will tell, still a pup.

SSurprise!! He's already an elite quarterback. I guess it comes down to one's definition of what it means to have a "great game" Your definition is that he make all his throws. My definition is that he make all his decisions.

And by the way, Brock made all the right decisions. Even on the throws he didn't hit. That's a problem of execution not decision making. He read the right play didn't hesitate and sent the ball where it had to go. Just didn't quite get there. If you're going to criticize that and take him down I think you're just bellyaching to start an argument and get clicks. Just like Rant Cohen.

Everything was right except the execution. As far as I'm concerned for one game or a few ames that's fine. That is Way Beyond elite for this team this offense this coach
