Brock's incompletions were 3 deep overthrows, 3 throwaways into the back of the endzone at the end of the half and a drop by Aiyuk. I think there was an 8th incompletion but I cannot remember what it was. Either way, not a bad game at all.

Deep ball accuracy still a weakness, but at least he's attempting them.

He'll hit them eventually, I imagine.

Yup. Just like he was hitting them last season.

Exactly, he was a little off, but its game 2 and he had the surgery etc. I would logically think and hope he will only improve with more experience. You saw the look on his face missing those deep shots. He wasn't smiling like Jimmy. If he gets those deep throws down.....oh man

Yeah, Jimmy was the smiling Ken doll which is great and everything but give the qb who has passion, obsessed with football and drives a Tacoma;)

That drive before the half..that was finesse. That was veteran. That was like Joe. It was awesome.

he missed a throw to Deebo on a slant

edit: speaking of which that was a rookie mistake I hope KS talks to him about at the end of half before the QB sneal throwing the ball OB instead of at the feet almost cost us points

I mean Jimmy hit one every once in a while. Overall not a strong point to his game either.

Brock looked cool calm and collected that entire 2 min drill

That was a huuuuuge moment and he passed with flying colors

Missed a couple easy TD. He'll get better as the season progress. I think Aiyuk could've gotten the over throws to Debo. Debo is not a speedster and Brock is comfortable with Aiyuk on those deep passes. Go 49ers!
Brock Has been hitting downfield throws. I think they just got in his head a bit about how disruptive Donald is. He'll regain his poise.
I usually don't have time to watch other games...but yesterday I was able to watch Lawrence and Mahomes, and a couple other notables (Josh 'roller coaster' Allen). I think we get spoiled by what Purdy had already become. Those "great" QBs threw some s**te balls and made some bad decisions in the little time I spent on them. Not saying they are 'bad' QBs, just saying that we need to maintain perspective when Purdy has a less than stellar day. He WILL have worse days, Montana and Young did.

I just know it feels so good 'EXPECTING' to win again. Not just 'hoping' or 'knowing' we should win. I much prefer being shocked by 2 or 3 losses a year over being 'happy' with 10 or 11 wins.

RING #6 happens this year.
Yesterday wasn't a great game for Purdy but it wasn't bad either. It was very average and typical of a Shanahan QB. He didn't have any TD passes but he didn't have any turnovers either which is really important in a tight game.

That is fair.

I can say this and it's a blessing/amazing to be able to, I am not worried about QB at this point. I am more worried about other positions. Blows my mind to even say that, but Purdy has simply been great and not a concern.

The missed throw to Deebo on the slant was probably his worst one. It also meant we went 3 and out right after the Rams kicked a FG to make it a one score game 27-20. Very reminiscent of the NFCCG. Luckily Lenoir didn't drop the pick like Tartt did.
Lol had a feeling if BP got a commerical, it would be cool n classy. Not over the top and not wearing a pink Tmobile jersey..🤢.
Steve Young also was with Toyota several years. I see what you did there Purdy lol. 😏 jk. You are the next Steve for sure! Go and get em!

We have to remember that he didn't get a lot of time in camp and in the off season because he was rehabbing. I don't mind if he misses as long as he doesn't throw it to a defender.
