QB Brock Purdy Thread

I think if this game tells us anything, it is that we over estimate Deebo...not Purdy.

Deebo looked like an extra player, not a core part of an offense. He looked like a dude you add once you have everything else in place.

It is one game...so can't let it tell too much of a story....but this offense looks crisper last year with no Deebo then it does this year with no BA.

The best thing the 49ers could do for Purdy is go get him another super crisp rout runner that is where he is suppose to be when he is suppose to be there and spread the darn field out.

So much tight formations this game... it ruins space in the passing game. I know why they are doing it with a run heavy game plan, they want the run blocking rules advantages skill players get from tight formations, but dang man....you got a QB with 10 games under his belt, give him the larger passing windows that come from spreading the field out.

I'm glad it's not just me. Lol I was telling myself "I can't remember watching a defense blitz almost every play".

He did solid against it but most importantly, no turnovers.

this is like our 12th straight win without a turnover or less incredible
Brock wobbly early, might've trickled down to the whole team. Kinda settled down. Played a smart controlled game afterward. That TD to Deebo was almost exactly like the one to Aiyuk against the Steelers lol

Crisp routes are nice but they aint everything. This is still football and the effect a guy like Deebo can have on your offense is being underestimated.

Placement was almost perfect.

had skme really nice deep throws too. The deebo one, obviously, and rbe CMC one that was dropped.

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that he was under almost constant pressure all night long and the fact that the Giant's defense was playing really well. People in here seem to think that these games exist in a vacuum and that Purdy should just be able to go out there and do whatever he wants, and if he doesn't it's because he's "struggling" or not playing well. Giant's D made them work for everything they got tonight, and it took a great throw and catch by Brock and Deebo to finally put the game away. Three games into the season and the team is undefeated, scoring 30 pts, a game, and Brock hasn't thrown an interception, but "oh, he missed those three passes against the Rams", how about if we all talk about that some more,

I think people are overlooking how talented these opposing teams have been. Our own fault for making it look so easy.

Deebo is a football player, a very good one at that. I don't think he's just a "guy". He's awesome on the run, blocking, catching, YAC, leadership. He's versatile - he's whatever we need him to be and he's good at all of it.

sure we missed Aiyuk in the pass game but deebo did an admirable job. Not his best night but a real good night

Deebo's an elite playmaker, period.

Purdy was out of sync in the beginning which is a great test of his character , 10 games into his career guy is young stud in the making . this will only build his confidence .. slow start quick start bad start by the time he's 2-3 years in this league , he'll have seen it all and I think he'll be the QB to lead this team for years to come ..

6 catches 129 yards and TD. Sounds like an awesome night to me. He was super physical too. Pounding those guys.

CMC added 85 yards at 4.7 a clip tonight to his league leading total.

brock had his first 300 yard game with two TDs.

it wasn't Pretty at times, but that's the NFL. Teams usually don't get blown out. We've been very fortunate to witness a lot of that in this 12 game win streak.

we are 3-0! With two road wins! Season is going very well. We have so much to improve on and will.

Brock's deep ball looked a lot better this week. Two great deep throws under pressure. McCaffrey had one knocked out but that hat throw was great, and so was Deebo's touchdown.

the DEEVAH made a great adjustment to the ball, I personally think that the it was not a beautiful pass.

It was deliberately thrown there because the defender wasn't looking and had position inside, guaranteed.

I personally don't believe that... BUT the result was GREAT..
Why not? Brock does a lot of that "leverage" stuff. I mean it looked pretty obviously like a back shoulder throw.

PURDY showed why the nickname I game him is perfect... B-ROCK STEADY !!!

I mean, again, because the defender had inside leverage, and wasn't looking back, the ideal place to put that ball is toward the sideline and behind the defender. He's playing that position to go FORWARD and jump to break up the pass. It's really hard for a corner to come back after playing full speed one direction, through the WR and also behind. That's the entire point of a back shoulder throw, which is precisely what that one looked like.

Idk how you view the word "gadget" but I feel like a lot of people view that as a negative to him. Like saying someone is a gimmick. Deebo just isn't a pure bred receiver. He's really good at any aspect on offense,'outside of QB: he's also super physical. He's an incredible player to have on any team.

It's much nicer to watch the games and be able to handle a few missed throws without jumping off a bridge. Or the incessant need of fans to constantly update the equation of whether Purdy will be great or not, weighing any recent miscue as evidence that "something's wrong." At the end of the day, Purdy had a really good game against an onslaught of pressure, didn't turn the ball over, hit on his deep passes, and was accurate the majority of the game. 3-0 baby, let's go!

Placement was almost perfect.

It's the only place the WR could get it and the CB couldn't. Perfect.
