He probably is that and will be that.

Agree. The way he's playing, its towards that level.

Not yet, at least. He's got to have supremely good numbers and not have the impression he's being carried by the team. But if he keeps stacking wins; he'll move up slowly. He's probably fringe top 10 now.

"Impression" is just a personal vibe. The tape, results, box score and advanced metrics say he's nearing the elite tier. The national vibe will always languish behind. Can't want for laggards to catch up. He's there right now. People just need to come to terms that we are witnessing history.

Agree 💯%, a lot of folks who don't watch 49er games are still stuck on his 7th round draft status. Those who do watch 49ers on occasion, see all the star power on the 49ers and assume its the team that's helping him amass those stats.

It will take a super bowl win to shake those folks up. Hopefully once that happens the national narrative will catch up to reality.

Wow, interesting Kyle comment!
After looking at the film, how did QB Brock Purdy handle the blitzes and just reacting and adjusting to them?
"After watching the film, I was even more impressed than I felt last night after the game. And we missed a number of blitz pickups where he had some free hitters in his face. I think that always makes it harder with accuracy and stuff because you're going to get the balls tipped and stuff if you throw it right. So you got to kind of avoid those things and I thought he hung in there, made few mistakes and had a hell of a game."

I've had a cheeky £10 bet at 20/1 for MVP, early days but I feel good about it.

Agree about the lotto aspect of Brock getting drafted. Anytime you can get a (potentially) generational talent like Purdy, that's pretty much a lotto pick. I'll give a ton of Credit to Kyle, though, for basically cutting Sudfeld and keeping Brock.

Can we please pump the breaks for gods sake? LOL

Generational talent? Yeah, Brock is not a generational talent. As good as I think he is and expect him to be, this is not a realistic label for him.

His processing ability is a generational talent.

everyone knocks his physical traits but no one argues what he has between the ears and most qb's don't have that…

so yea generational talent… I would agree.

I think the real test will be vs the Cowboys D. I for one am already a believer and think he's the best QB on this roster since Jeff Garcia.

But if can hold his own against Dallas, I think the tune of the entire NFL will change on him.

Nice Job Lynch. Still could of used someone like McKinley at Safety or Jobe to compete at the CB position. Career practice squad player with NO potential.

Oof

Almost had another one here.

This shows how accurate he can be even after getting moved off by the rush.

He's playing at Mahommes level. If he stays consistent, he's generational talent. He's the missing piece of any offense.

That might have been my favorite throw esp. after the poor hike.

He's playing better than PM ATM. PM is running around for his life and playing hero ball averaging 18 points per game and KC is tied with the Raiders in their division.
