*Shrug* on top of being a winner who reportedly helped turn around a previously bad program.

He helped a bad team in college become good.

He's helping a good team in the NFL become even better.

Pretty strong evidence he's better than many give him credit for.

Nice post OTC

But I thought Brock was Jimmy? Doesn't stats and spray charts tell us that?

I don't know who said that, but I sure as hell know it wasn't me! I don't even know what a spray chart is(sounds sus and for nerds). It took me 3 games last year to come to the conclusion that Brock > Jimmy.

3 games-- the hell took you so long lol

Dallas will test Brock's poise, perhaps more than any other game. The competition will be intense and physical. Whether or not we win, if he can maintain that assassin's demeanor, he's definitely on his way to achieving all of great things we think he can.

He did it against Dallas in a playoff game when that team had all the motivation in the world to cut our heads off. Only thing I'm looking to see is if he can have a good to great game against a great team.

Too bad Dallas best corner got hurt and is out for the year. We always want to play them at their best so there's no excuses. However, something about Dak when the pressure is highest he makes bad plays. Like his clock management errors.

Agree 💯%, I wish Digg's didn't get hurt. That could be us with (not going to mention any names), and so that sucks for Dallas and now we don't really know how good Dallas is because one of their players is hurt. So, in a sense, when the 49ers play Dallas, we really don't know how good the 49ers are - win or lose. Unfortunately.

I've been burned too many times, so I take it slow when evaluating players, especially when it comes to QBs. But after Brock went into Seattle with broken ribs as a rookie and became only the 2nd 49ers' QB to win there since 2011, I knew BCB was for real!!

I don't think that's really true. Dallas is still a very good team and still have a ton of talent. It's still a true measure of how good we are because they're still a top team without diggs. It's a loss but it isn't the same as losing someone like parsons.

they can easily beat us without diggs, as well. I still think it's a great test for our team.

Aiyuk burned Diggs in the playoffs in 2022 so many times it was embarrassing. Too bad Jimmy G couldn't throw it to him. That's a loss for them but they couldn't cover our wrs anyway
I am so satisfied to see that Brock can throw the ball deep and perfect target it. Jimmy cant throw the ball deep so Brock can well. Hope he is step levels up and process for improve!

Benched at Iowa State is the most STUPID narrative I've ever seen. He had 46 starts. He was a 4 year starter. They could NEVER find anybody better than him to be the starter. Trey_ning Wheels is not coming back meatheads!

What in the world does this mean? I am flabbergasted.
Can't wait to see what he does tomorrow!

My fave play by B is still the double fake against SEA, that was just a moment 🥰

nah that was 100% scheme, easy toss and score

his toss to kittle facing a zero blitz vs miami and his 2 td passes vs tampa are way better

I heard on the radio today that purdy was benched multiple times at iowa state?

That does not surprise me at all......

Brock is going to go balls to the wall 24/7 and he has some gunslinger in him.

We have been mostly winning 50/50 balls, and Brock throws the ball before the break on the rout regularly. There is a cost to that.

I could easily see Brock trying to will the team down the field and a 50/50 ball not go his way, or throwing a pass with anticipation that the future insurance salesman can break and go it and being wrong...

We got great skill guys, Iowa State did not.
We have a great defense to lean on, Iowa State did not.
We have a great system to reign in some Impulses Brock might have, Iowa State did not.

Having said that....now think of the numerous almost turnovers the 49ers have had with all these things in Brock's favor.

Almost Turnovers don't count in football, but it does make it really believable that Brock could have been benched at Iowa State.

With any luck for us, Brock learned from it and it cost the 49ers nothing.

Farve won a superbowl doing just that 😂

Agree, I didn't hear any stories of being benched at Iowa in any scouting report pre-draft.

Agree they are still a good team without Diggs, just would have liked both Teams to go in - head to head - 100% healthy in week 5 to see who *REALLY* is better than the other. Now, having said that, the last two playoff games - we've had their number. So that's a data point as to who is going to beat who. I'll take the NY Giant's win, but would have rather beat the Giants with a healthy Saquon and a healthy Giants squad, in general.
