And when are we going to stop using completion percentage as a means of judging accuracy. Would you describe the following play to be an accurate throw?

I wouldnt, in spite of it being a completion.
And I am not accusing you of this, but just to reiterate, I have been very happy with Brock this year and so far in general. I think he has IT, and he could be a good one for a very long time. Criticism =/= hate.
Actually ya it was accurate, if he threw it more in front of Jennings then the safety picks it off (safety was playing mlb)
AGree 💯%, JTO broke this play down in detail in his Brock Week 3 video. Purdy had to shade it a bit right to avoid the safety playing the Middle backer. Ended up a bit behind Jauan. Looked inaccurate, but actually, it was accurate.
JTO's breakdown of this play starts at about 4:10 into the video and he does not seem to agree that this was actually an accurate pass.
Well I think it was perfectly placed.
Just my opinion of course. I think if he would have led Jennings, as others have said, it would have been a pick by the safety. I'll take the win, and any inaccuracy any time, vs accuracy and a loss.
LOL at people criticizing about 20 yard completions for First Downs.
Says a lot about Brock.

49ers fans when refering to other QB's. Awesome throw. That was a dime. That QB is great.
49ers fans when refering to 49ers QB. Slightly under thrown. WR had to slow down for it. Our QB is innaccurate.

It was classic Jimmy complete with a pair of hospital balls to Adams, batted balls, and one pick in particular where Jimmy just didn't see the linebacker. I love that Brock keeps a lot of those crossers low when there is traffic and very rarely leads the receiver into a big collision. He had one pass batted down last week and it was a fluke and the first one this season that I remember. He is really adept at anticipating where the window is to get his ball around defenders arms. It's just crazy fast processing. Imagine where he will be once he is seeing these defensive schemes the second and third time.
I read somewhere that Jimmy had a concussion in the game and they let him play. But that after the game he was reevaluated and put in a concussion protocol. I don't know how accurate the article is, but that's Jimmy - getting injured again. The guy has no wheels to get away from the pass rush, unfortunately.

17 touchdowns 4 interceptions in his first 8 regular NFL games in his entire career, and he's being accused of being innaccurate. I just don't know what to say.
First 3 starts of his career, he throws one interception. The first three games of his second year - *no interceptions.* I think the data points to him being *more accurate* than less accurate. If you ask me.

Not one person has said he's inaccurate. Just not quite as accurate as last year (regarding ball placement, not completion percentage). He has room to improve while still playing great, not sure why this has so many people upset.

The endzone angle of this throw gives you more appreciation for what Brock did on the throw. If he throw a little early to lead Jennings it gets picked of with the lurking defender underneath. If he threw it behind Jennings anymore it gets picked of by the trailing CB.

Yeah I thought the same thing. If he leads Jennings in stride, then the underneath defender that jumped and stretched out his arms has a chance to tip the pass.

I'm not upset. I have just observed over the years that 49ers fans hold 49ers QB's to a much higher standard than other QB's around the league. I was simply poking fun at it.

The hilarity when critiquing every throw is the armchair quarterback expects every throw to be made, and HOW it should be made.
Substituting in an equally consistent elite QB under same the critical eye would appear absurd.

Brock Purdy has won 7 consecutive regular season games to start his career! 😤
— NFL on DAZN (@NFLonDAZN) September 21, 2023
Will he beat Big Ben's 15-game record by going 11-0 with the 49ers this season?

Isn't it 8 straight wins as a starter now?
