Pretty much this.

No need to get wrapped up in the technical definition of a stat. We've won every game where he's been our QB1 and been healthy. I do think the Eagles should get credit for knocking him out though… that's part of the game.

Interesting that Brock is 11th in the league in passing yards. I feel like he doesn't typically get many passing yards, about 200-220 a game. This last game helped a lot when he broke 300 but it's cool to see a 49er qb near top 10 in passing yards and we are undefeated.

very balanced team. It's just cool to finally have a qb who looks like a legitimate franchise guy. Very excited for this weekend. Hopefully the boys are feeling better after these 11 days of rest.

Man you know the team is going to be insanely hyped for this game. If there is any week where I feel like they're going to be dialed in, it's this one. Hopefully we stay healthy leading up to, and throughout, this game.

It's a run the ball first team, and so Brock's job is to convert 3rd downs via passing or with his mobility. Very QB friendly offense, to put it mildly. The workhorse for this kind of offense is the running backs. Without CMC, this team is going to lose games. WITH Christian MccAffrey, it's unbeaten. Add in Brock and his inhuman accuracy, touch, and timing. OMG! It's a tough team to beat. We'll see how the 49ers deal with a surging Arizona Cardinal's team, but the 49ers look tough to beat this year.

The first 2 games of the season Brock had an ADoT of 8.9 yards. That would put him at 11th highest in the league. His ADoT against the giants was 5.3 yards. Giants blitzed him at a rate of 85% of his dropbacks and we had no BA to eat up the man coverage in that area of the field.

ADoT by top 4 receivers

Aiyuk- 13.9 yards
Deebo- 7.2 yards
Kittle- 6.8 yards
CMC- 0.5 yards

Brock still targeted the intermediate area of the field 7 times and completed 6 of them at a rate of 16.4 yards per, 1 TD with an ADoT of 13.3 yards. Brock feasts in that intermediate area even when the odds are stacked against him.

And that is why Purdy won't lead the league in yards, hopefully be affordable when time comes to resign him. Kyle will always have a run first team. Run game and defense have been and always will be the biggest key to postseason victories.

Purdy put Perry on the Arizona high school football map. Then he put Iowa State on the national map. And now, the quarterback continues to amaze with what he's doing for the San Francisco 49ers after being the last guy picked in the 2022 NFL Draft.
