It is in Purdy's DNA

The 49ers have a good defense, and Purdy can recover from a bad series....odds are the defense will cover for him.

Purdy tho by nature is a risk taker, and does not really settle all that often on "easy" throws when better throws exist.

Sooner or later Purdy will push the ball and be wrong, it happens to EVERY QB.

Joe Montana had 7 games with 3 or more interceptions, Brady had 9, Drew Brees had 18, Peyton Manning had 22, heck...Dan Marino had 24.

It happens...it is part of playing football

We will be fine, Purdy will be fine...

We are 10,000 times better off with a risk taker like Purdy who will throw that ball with anticipation betting his WR will be where he is suppose to be when he is suppose to be there then anyone of the past QBs we have had that do not throw the ball unless his target is wide ass open if at all.

I'm sure he will have a rough game eventually, I just question if it'll happen anytime soon cause of the roster we have around him.

Montana throwing 3 picks 7 times in a 15 year career or so… is incredible. I'll take that all day long. Lol

I think it's a sort of perfect storm scenario. Purdy didn't have the measurables which caused his biggest slide. But his "IT" factor couldn't be measured, then pairing him with Kyle really brings out his best. I think there are a lot of teams on which he wouldn't be as successful due to coaching alone. I'd bet there are other QBs who could have had a ton more success in the league had they just been paired with the right coach.

Been saying this for years. There is a perfect situation for every player. QBs especially needs to be put with right coach/system. In my opinion.

Those pff losers always talk about how brock has all these turnover worthy plays, im so glad people are tracking this stupid "stat", cuz it drives me crazy how they dont add context by comparing it to other players

The Kittle pass deflection was one for sure

I'm not sure but I imagine at least three of them, if not all, were in the giants first drive. Lol

Which is kinda amusing since it hit a 49er receiver in the hand.

A "turnover worthy play" that wasn't actually a turnover.

They should track touchdown worthy plays. Like the pass to CMC in the end zone that he dropped.

I agree, I think all of them (at least most) came in that first drive against the Giants. I think he's been better this year than he was last year, which is awesome.

The biggest difference in Brock's TWP vs someone like Jimmy's - You can at least see what brock was attempting and what went wrong. lol with Jimmy - I couldn't even begin to understand what the hell he was thinking/attempting on his. lmao he did the same thing last week against the Steelers a handful of time. I don't mind mistakes, they happen and brock has shown to learn from them quickly. I have issue with asinine ones that don't make any sense and not learning from it.

this would be a cool stat. That is something that should be factored into QBR/QB Rating too - the QB putting the ball/player in position to make a big play/score and it just didn't work out for whatever reason. Idk how you'd track or measure that but I think it would help be more accurate on a QBs performance.

With AWS next gen stats - they must have some way of measuring it or at least creating a category for it.

It doesnt add any extra analysis imo

say aaron rodgers in his mvp season had a very high turnover worthy play percentage but only had 6 turnovers. What does that tell you? I have no clue.
