sounds like one of those Trey Lance fabricated stats his stans would throw out there as cover for his sucky azz

Just mute him.

the one Kittle got his hand on was a INT on a platter, Kittle rescued him, that was the most INT worthy of the year imo

I fully expect everyone on our offense to make that kind of play. Not really a bail-out.

It's not like he threw it to a lone defender who let it bounce of his chest.

It was an great bailout imo. Some guys have eyes on the ball don't even see the defender, and get beyond the defender.

What I can't understand about that play is why Kittle didn't make an attempt to catch it. Even a one handed catch. It's like he decided before he even got to the ball, "I'm going to bat it down."

it was a brilliant play, he had the field awareness to see the defender sitting on the route, BP never saw him
I think if he could have one handed mossed the DB he would have, even Kittle has limits apparently

Thats true of life. You can be a genius but if you only have been taught up to the 5th grade you are limited as compared to somebody who has a PhD in a certain subject matter. Where you go is going to affect a big part of where you end up. Also injuries and luck play a factor. Greg Cook was a bigger and faster and more accurate Steve Young, so says Bill Walsh, but his injuries shortened his career. Andrew Luck is another example.

I'm sure a lot of players more talented than Purdy have given up on the NFL because of bad coaching, bad parenting, or lack of perseverance on the part of the player themselves. Guys have gone to the CFL to be able to get into the NFL, same with the XFL and other organizations. The NFL isn't the only route to the NFL

As for the 49ers, it helps to have a great coach, because that give the organization a greater chance to land a great player.

The greatest recent example is Trevor Lawrence. Widely considered a generational talent and he was coupled with a crappy organization and urban Meyer (arguably the worst hc in recent nfl history). He was horrific. His second year he gets a respectable head coach and he's a completely different player.

that's how much of an impact quality coaching and culture has on a top tier player, imagine the guys not as talented.

it takes two to tango. I don't think Walsh would of had as much success without montana. Just like I don't think Brady and belichick would of had as much success as they did without each other. Great fits to get the most out of each other. Football is too much of a team sport for one coach or player to do it on their own

Hopefully he has all his WR's ready to go when we play Dallas. Doesn't look like he will have it this week.

I agree 💯%, and I'll add that ownership is also important. Ownership is like the foundation of the team. It won't endure calamities like wind and weather and earthquakes if you have a bad foundation. Jed has brought in his uncle as a consultant many times to make sure that foundation is as solid as can be. Ownership doesn't build a team, but it does set it how high it can go. An example is Jerry, and how as an owner/GM, he's really hurting his team, more than helping it by doing too much.

49er fans have it all, as a five time Superbowl winner and hall-of-fame owner can be called in by Jed to help him with a problem. Same on the coaching side with Papa Shanahan a three time Superbowl winning Papa available to Kyle as a resource. Blessed is the Faithful becuase they have demanded Ownership be accountable and held to a very high standard!

P.s. Trevor Lawrence, I bet he'd be a playoff QB if he was on this team right now. But between Lawrence and Purdy, the way Purdy is playing - I'd have drafted Purdy way ahead of Lawrence.

It's funny you bring that up because earlier I was walking my dog and thinking about how well jed has grown into the role. I'm actually really proud as a fan how the team takes care of its players and their families. How they have a lot of old time players come around the team and even work for the team. Such a cool culture. I love the 49ers but if it was crappy ownership - idk if I'd be as invested as I am. I couldn't be a chargers fan because of their ownership.

Jed make a handful of mistakes early on but he's learned and adapted from them. I love the way he gives Kyle & John anything they need and then stays in his own lane. Let's them run the show.

jed has forked out a TON of money this off season alone, not many owners would do that. Because he was willing to spend that much cash - we were able to resign bosa ($50M signing bonus), sign hargrave ($29M signing bonus), and then all the restructuring ($40M in cap space). That will enable us to roll thay money over and be in good shape for next year. It's awesome.

I like Brock more as a personality and leader than I do Lawrence. Idk who I'd take if I had a choice but I love everything about Brock and how he approaches the game. I question how much Lawrence loves football and his competitiveness.

Brock Purdy

The Setter of the Standard, you know, if we just followed the simple standard he set, we would be 10x world champs by now

Indeed,if Kittle wouldn't have been within hands reach of rhe pass intended for him, it might have been a turnover, this is often the case. But the ball was thrown to within his reach.
They've been conducting interviews with a bunch of Cardinals players on the radio this week and I've been surprised to hear how often they bring up Purdy as someone that they have to stop to be able to win the game. Everyone brought up Deebo and CMC but in past years that is where it would have stopped. "We have to stop Deebo, we have to stop the run game, we have to run the ball against their defense." Now there's a lot of "we have to stop Purdy and get the ball out of his hands."

Been awhile since I've heard opposing players talk about a 49ers QB like that.

Yeah it used to be "If we can stop the run, then we can beat the 49ers"

Wonder when the media will acknowledge Purdy's skills, looks like the players have
