Such a cool culture. I love the 49ers but if it was crappy ownership - idk if I'd be as invested as I am. I couldn't be a chargers fan because of their ownership.
Jed make a handful of mistakes early on but he's learned and adapted from them. I love the way he gives Kyle & John anything they need and then stays in his own lane. Let's them run the show.
jed has forked out a TON of money this off season alone, not many owners would do that. Because he was willing to spend that much cash - we were able to resign bosa ($50M signing bonus), sign hargrave ($29M signing bonus), and then all the restructuring ($40M in cap space). That will enable us to roll thay money over and be in good shape for next year. It's awesome.
I like Brock more as a personality and leader than I do Lawrence. Idk who I'd take if I had a choice but I love everything about Brock and how he approaches the game. I question how much Lawrence loves football and his competitiveness.
Living through the days where his dad ran the team were trying to say the least. Especially after how great Eddie was.

it has gotten smoother.....
When the Yorks first came in, it was cancer...... they blackballed Walsh and locked him out...they tried to divorce the 49ers from their history and went all in on Nolan to promote their version of 49er history....
It was bizarro world
Nolan started drafting QBs to play fullback, OTs to play DT...or maybe it was the other way around... TEs to play tackle....it was nuts. That stuff does not work in the NFL....and clearly the entire Nolan 2.0 era was a failure. Ownership should have put a foot down and ended that crap a lot sooner.
Jed was a blessing, Denise and John were horrific.

yeah Dr John was a bit of a doofus, Nolan was doing all he could they torched it down to the foundation in 04, would have needed a 5 year rebuild no matter who it was

Brock has attempted 37 passes outside the numbers this season. That is 40.6% of his pass attempts. He is 27 of 37 (73.0%) for 301 yards (8.1YPA), 3 TD's, 0 INT's with a 103.3 passer rating. Them numbers look solid to me.

McCloughan and early Trent Baalke actually did a good job in building the team. Nolan and Singletary couldn't coach for sure. Jim Harbaugh took the roster McCloughan and early Trent Baalke built and go deep in the playoff for 3 straight seasons, including one Super bowl trip.

I hated the Alex smith pick, but go watch Alex Smith highlights from college then watch Trey Lance..it looks like two different sports. I gave Shanny the benefit of the doubt if that lance is who he wanted...dude knows way better then I would....but Lance was one hell of a head scratcher.
Brock has changed the way I think of college QBs. I use to like big school guys that were working with NFL level talent. At least if they worked you had some idea of what they could do in the NFL if you got them talent. Basically they know how to use the talent around them....
Now Brock is killing it, and has this crazy rare mental toughness about him...that....it factor we can never quite define and but know it when we see it.
Makes me really think....damn.... maybe the whole key to this QB thing is find a guy who has had a crap oline, crap targets and yet some how seems to rise to the occasion. IF that guy has enough arm, good enough footwork and can get rid of the ball to the right guy quickly enough with little to no help from the people around him....maybe that is what we want.
Get a guy who is good enough, but has been though hell for the last 4 years and refused to quit....maybe that should be our blueprint at QB moving forward.
Drop Purdy on the 49ers and day one....everything is the best he has ever had in relation to who he plays.

You can see how many NFL lvl throws he made in college. A lot of really great back shoulder throws.
the guy even talks about how accurate he is on passes that become short Pass touchdowns, accuracy for YAC potential, and his improv skills. Lol
he even says Pittsburgh would be a great fit. They screwed up and drafted that clown pickett.

Now that we know what he is, it's kinda obvious watching his college film. If his arm was as strong as it was after his training before his rookie year, I think he would of easily been a higher draft pick. Especially in such a weak draft. He displays so many nfl level traits

It is obvious. I actually don't watch much college football, Purdy might change that for me lol.
I am glad Pitt got Pickett lol, they can have him
