I posted his stats when throwing outside the numbers a few pages back. 40% of his pass attempts and 40% of his yards have come from outside the numbers and he has completed them at a rate of 73%. 3 of his 4 TD's have been thrown outside the numbers. Dude cannot demonstrate that ability any more than he already has. Anyone questioning it at this point haven't been watching with their eyes open.

If We can win the next 4 games, we will be 17-0 in the previous 17 games. Lol an undefeated season, incredible.

I really think we would have won that damn nfc champ game. Mahomer may have been a challenge but it would have been an awesome challenge

I want BP to smoke Homer so bad...

Yeah I never understood that assessment, if you could call it that. Basically, just not knowing diddly lol. I think ppl just want to sound knowledgeable or to hear themselves talk-nonsense- but just end up looking foolish.

I don't always agree with decisions made by Kyle and John but I bow to them because they know more about the players and the team than any of us do. They are there 7 days a weeks. Their jobs depend on the decisions they make. Even the Trey Lance fiasco was the right decision at the time. It turned out bd but trying to get a top QB when you have the chance is never a bad idea. For teams like the Niners that chance doesn't come around often. It's unfortunate that the 2 times they had a chance to get a QB early in the draft it wasn't a great year for QBs. When tey drafted Alex Smith he was considered to be better than Rodgers. They were really the only 2 in that class. The class that had Trey in it has faired poorly. Only Lawrence is living up to his expectations. Fields and Wilson are struggling and Jones is just okay.

What?

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2017_NFL_Draft

When they had the #1 overall pick the best available was Alex Smith. Rodgers didn't go until late in the first round. It wasn't a year like this upcoming year is supposed to be. There wasn't a Peyton Manning or John Elway. I know Smith wasn't a choice made by Lynch and Kyle but the principle behind it is the same. You have to be lucky when you get the chance to pick a QB. Then you have to hope he was the right pick. At least they got lucky with Purdy.

When Kyle and John saw the chance to move up and take a QB they had a choice between Lance, Jones and Fields. In hindsight none were good choices. Even if they stayed with their pick and took Jones they would still be looking for their guy. They probably wouldn't have chosen Purdy either. He could have ended up a free agent and being signed by another team.

The last 3 guys that came out of college as can't miss QB's were Luck, Lawrence and Williams n the next drat. Herbert had the talent but there were questions even about him. The Niners had or have no chance at any of them.

They set the record with 21 wins in a row.

I believe the old record was a tie at 18 between the 89-90 Niners and 97-98 Broncos.

Edit: these are overall winning streaks. The Colts apparently have the longest regular season win streak at 23.

Colts have the record at 23 from 2008-2009
Second place are the patriots 2006-2008 at 21
third place are the 2003-2004 patriots at 18

Colts have the regular season record… which is quite dumb in my opinion. Losing in the playoffs should count lol.

I agree that playoffs should count

I just don't see the point of not including the most important games and isolating the regular season.

The 49ers are on a 3 game winning streak currently. As an aside they have a 3 game winning streak against the Rams.

I was going off of memory in my post though. Pats have the longest winning streak at 21 (03-04)… the Packers have the 2nd at 19 ('10-'11) and then a s**t load of teams are tied at 18 (including the two I mentioned).

Our current 13 game win streak doesn't factor in the playoffs at all. It's a 13 game regular season win streak. We are 15-1 if you factor in the playoffs but strictly going by regular season, we are on a 13 game win streak - which is really impressive regardless.

the patriots one is the most impressive to me because they did do it in the playoffs, as well. They won the super bowl and everything.

Truthfully, I don't know if I want the 49ers to go undefeated in the regular season. Keeping that that streak alive and trying to sustain it through a super bowl is a ton of added pressure to a team. Reminds me of when the warriors went 73-9, they were essentially in playoff mode 2 months before the playoffs started cause every team was trying to beat them and they had to play so hard to sustain it.

i just want the niners to get the 1 seed so they can get home field advantage.
