Same for Trey. Otherwise its cool to talk about ALL the dark times Brock is saving us from.

Who the f**k still has a hard-on for Jimmy and Trey?

There are really only 4-5 teams that can actually beat us, less if we remain disciplined. They need an elite qb - bills, chiefs, and eagles. The two wildcards would be the cowboys & dolphins. I think we will beat the cowboys but have to respect their Defense. I think we would beat Miami but have to respect their talented offense - their defense is suspect.

outside of that, I don't think any team will beat us. I've been saying it all off season

Super bowl will be 49ers vs bills and we will break poor Buffalo fans hearts.

I'm calling Ravens.

I have the fins. IF they stay healthy, but that goes for Niners too.

edit: I think the Bills beat the fins tomorrow, but still think the fins make the game IF they stay healthy.

I don't trust tua yet. He completely collapsed when he played us last year, he was the hottest QB in the nfl too. We will see how he holds up against a physical defense like the bills. I like McDaniel and their offense is stacked, but i don't thjnk their defense is much and I don't trust tua against a good defense yet.

I'd think you don't trust Tua because you're a 49er fan,...no?

It didn't feel.right using the second (or 3rd apparently) to draft mahommes, but felt perfectly fine using 3 1s for a project with a ready now roster.

And here's that interview. https://www.49erswebzone.com/articles/144631-john-lynch-haunted-drafting-patrick-mahomes-attending-smokescreen/

I'd give ShanaLynch credit though, for getting Brock Purdy. When they go after a position - they eventually become successful. They were looking for an edge rusher for the longest time - they finally got Bosa and what looks like another gem in Drake Jackson.

As for the Mahomes miss, they weren't looking for a QB in that particular draft, they were looking for defensive help. Quarterback is one of the hardest positions to assess and grade. Even the best miss. Reid had Donovan McNabb and Alex Smith for years and finally struck it rich with Mahomes - 17 years later.

Got to give ShanaLynch credit for getting a top of the line QB in their 7th year. Whereas Bill Belichick got Brady in his 5th year. Bill beat ShanaLynch by a mere two years.

It doesnt add any extra analysis imo

say aaron rodgers in his mvp season had a very high turnover worthy play percentage but only had 6 turnovers. What does that tell you? I have no clue.

I like the more objective stats. It's debatable what's worthy of a TO and what isn't. Ultimately someone has to sit down and judge, and one stat collecting agency will give one number, another agency with different methodology would give a different number. Neither may be correct. I can determine what is turnover worthy or not myself. If I want to see how turnover prone a guy is, I can look at his objective number of turnovers. Over time that stuff evens out for all QBs, the luck element

but let's switch gears how many BTTs does he have
That is my exact problem with TWPs and BTTs. Not only is the judgement subjective, but the definitions are nebulous. While they aren't without value, you can't fully trust them. But then again, on target passing and pressures have some subjectivity as well, but not as much, and they aren't as vaguely defined.

Agree 💯%, those more advanced stats are more subject to someone's *opinions* even though they do try to standardize it with training and peer review. To me its still a human judgment call, that's why watching the games are also important. I'm not discounting those stats, but just putting it into context.

Maybe, maybe not. My pet peeve with Jimmy was his terrible durability. That's the reason ShanaLynch went after Trey Lance. Brock's durability is still a question mark for me. He was injured in the NFCCG, sort of like Jimmy also, with his shoulder and his hand in that other NFCCG/playoff game.

I personally blame Kyle for Pudy's injury. He knew Hassan Riddick doesn't do run defense and just rushes QBs. That's the problem with Kyle's play action system - if the Defense doesn't buy Kyle's eye candy, his QB is toast. I think QB durability - in general - is important in any offense, but in Kyle's fake run and throw from the naked boot pass system, durability is a premium for his QBs. I.e. its Much more important to his offense than other offenses in general, because when Kyle's QBs get hit, they get lit up, and not just hit. Contrast that to the Bellichick offense which is more of a pass first offense. Brady very rarely got injured in that offense .

The weirdos who carry on conversations about ex-49er qbs for years. They had to ban Alex Smith threads.

I gotta agree, first thing I thought was fk Kyle, really? I haven't really forgiven some of his sh-ty decisions over the years. They got damn lucky with Purdy, at least protect the guy. I see BP mess with his hand and arm after plays, just looks like nerve zings. It's frustrating to see because it could have been prevented. Good thing he is a baller and came through. I don't know how that injury will be as he ages though. Who knows.
