Hmm that's tough. I still think he needs to do more but I think he's a top 5 qb right now. I think Mahomes & Allen are def above him. Burrow is hurt and playing awful. I'd take Brock over hurts (hurts is on a super stacked team and they aren't playing great).
it really is subjective but I think there is a very valid argument to say he's a top 5 QB right now and the best in the NFC - at least for the first month of the year. He def should be voted into the pro bowl at worst, if he keeps this up.
I love Brock as much as anyone on this thread.
I still need to see him down with 2 min to go and go lights out to win it. Which I am confident he will.

Maybe it's just how things work out in the play?
Regardless that's two TD passes passer rating eill never give Brock.
I don't think so, not when it happens almost every time. I'd imagine they're practicing it that way.
It's happened like four times my man.

The backwards pass also leaves open the possibility of a CMC pass, which we did successfully last year.

Purdy's pass traveled 46.8 yards in the air, Purdy's longest completed pass by air distance of his career.

Wasn't even his best deep completion today. The one going the other direction was just *chef's kiss.

Brock does what a qb here hasn't done in a long time - gives the skill player a chance to make a play and gives them a good throw to do it on. Those back shoulder throws are hard and requires a lot of trust. I'm actually surprised that he's hit as many as he has this early, they're not easy throws or catches but he throws a very catchable ball and has great ball placement on tbem.
i was actually watching a college tape video of Brock's analyzing him before the draft, one of the pros mentioned in the video was how good he was at back shoulder throws.

Still was an awesome decoy in his geezer years.
If Kap throws to Moss instead of Crabtree twice in a row we win that Super Bowl. He might have lost a step, having only 4.4ish speed. But he was still 6'4 and could still jump. Why in the world did Kap throw fades to Crabtree when Moss was on the other side? Le sigh...

Brock's stat line is in insane.
Averaging over 9 YPA, 250 YPG, has five passing and two rushing touchdowns, and is completing over 72% of his passes.
I do think things will level out a bit as better defenses come up. We will face a handful of top half of the league defenses with Dallas, Cleveland, Baltimore, Philly, Tampa, and Washington.
Ultimately, all the stats now are nice but all I care about is him leading us to Super Bowl wins.

Cause kap is an egotistical dumbass and his fades were crap. Dude rarely threw with touch or an arch on his pass.

CMac's gotta get his numbers too.
And you'd gotta imagine our staff would love nothing more than to reduce his stats with a contract looming. We're cheapskates.

How are we cheapskates? That's absurd.

To me it felt like either he want to get his boi the game winner, or he just got tunnel vision and choked, and didn't consider the available information, such as RANDY FREAKING MOSS on the other side.
