Agree, we must protect him at all costs. The champ game hit should *not* have happened. They owe him big time.

In training camp, there were stories of Kyle having PSTD when Ferrel hit Brock in the arm. I hope Kyle's learned his lesson!
Brock Purdy is gonna do em dirty when he drops thirty!

Man o man, that's great company to be mentioned with. Montana did that when he was 6+ years in the league.

Good gosh, you're right. And later for Steve too. BP is so good, it's almost scary. Lol

He's just *unreal* and yes - lottery luck - by Kyle for drafting Purdy by chance. I'm still pinching myself how good Purdy has been. Give this guy a top notch OLIne - at least at the Offensive Tackle Spots, and above average to very good in the interior line, and Brock can turn even Snead, Mason, and Bell, to into looking like Aiyuk, McCaffrey, and Deebo!

Brock will cost a pretty penny once his rookie contract is up, but he'll elevate those mid to late rounders into looking great first round picks!

I hate Brock Purdy..

Because that horrible, Bette Midler song keeps popping in my head, yes that one, .."did you ever know that you're my hero". .good gosh 🤢 ugh You suck Brock 😆

Late first and 2nd level OL isn't worth getting. We probably upgrade through FA

One reason I'd like a drafted OLine is because we had to let Brunskill go because he was a free agent and his contract was up, and bottom feeders paid him money to poach him from our squad. I'd like to keep some young talented OLine guys to develop vs having to keep singing new free agents for one year contracts to protect Purdy.

For us even older guys, this kinda feels like watching Montana starting to look legit. Young never made me feel that way until the year they actually won the superbowl.

I was too young to remember Montana at the beginning lol but was mesmerized in the late 80s when a bit older lol. Yeah, I know what you mean about Young, I think I was more concerned about his injuries than his football performance at times. Of course, he struggled with the concussions and such, which was a bummer. I love football but just wanted him to be ok lol. But yeah, SB year was a great one, monkey off the back as he said. You could feel the excitement he had holding that trophy. I adore Steve. I like his personality, comes across as just "a real guy". Authentic type of dude. He appears to have, what I guess some would say, "awkwardness" about him.. but I love that. Ok I will stop gushing about Young haha. So, that kid from AZ
..lol

Young's concussions are one reason I am not fond of "running QBs." I'll take a Brock Purdy with a couple of good running backs and WRs any day.

I remember cringing every time Steve took any hit of any sort, same with Jerry also after the 97 injury
now it's CMC the torch has been passed
let us have this dude for a full season

However, it was Purdy's eyes that took the safety off Kittle as Purdy looked left. It was all about the read, as JT pointed out. The play never had Kittle in the picture.

such a great video by JohnnyDel - man that performance was more impressive than I realized. That was about as flawless as a performance as you can have.. let's hope he is as fine tuned for the cowboys!

im really intrigued to see how he plays the cowboys now that he's played them before and has experience against them. Brock strikes me as the type that plays teams better once he's played them before.

i wonder if he was as good as he was against that defense because of his prep for the NFCC when Gannon was the dc? It's the same system the eagles are running - so hopefully Brock is that dynamic when we play the eagles in week 13. Only difference will be the pass rush but gives me hope that we will dominate their D.

That is the way that I saw it as well.

Only option I see is 360p...

My thinking after seeing this breakdowns is perhaps CMC was his outlet if pressured. Some of the ones that Brock threw to CMC in the vid, he had pressure coming from McKivitz side, and he had to slide or step away from it to the left where ... oh look there's CMC. With Brock's good pocket awareness, I wouldn't be surprised if they help McKivitz by having Brock just slide left and quick throw to CMC on the left if pressured.

on the big play to Aiyuk: Loves Brock being aggressive, but it was bad on all sides. DB played it bad and Brock shouldn't have thrown it (JT thinks Aiyuk is surprised the ball is going him) and it was such a bad pass it allowed Aiyuk to catch it.

He probably published it before the HD version finished processing. I've had that happen on accident before or when YT was taking FOR-EVER

It was about the progression. We ran that same play the play before but Kittle was on a choice. It's two clearing routes and a choice route. In Kyle's playbook, that route by Kittle isn't even an alert. It's not in the progression at all. Literally just there to break the rules of Bronco/SCIF players that have to match seam routes.
