There are so many tiny pieces that he has added into his repertoire this offseason that it has had a big impact on his game. The casual fan is just not picking up on all of them. Especially that dropping back like a left handed QB and making the switch to the right. He makes that s**t look easy and natural like. His footwork is clean, crisp and beautiful to watch. I see no more tendencies besides maybe favoring the left side of the field a little more than the right. Still, DAL defense is a big test. If he plays well and we win, perception will change even more.

My first comments after seeing him hit the field were exactly this. His footwork was perfect.
It made me want to see more. I saw something special in him right from the jump, but always understated it because I didn't want to draw any criticism for hyping him up early on.

"Look at that pocket. He has one of the best o lines in football"

I thought Purdy's footwork was excellent.
I went back and took another look to verify. Granted he was never flustered, but he remained active was able to set his feet instantly.

His footwork is really good. He can focus on all sorts of other development with that out of the way.
I have a feeling we keep him.
One argument that doesn't hold water in the discourse on #49ers QB Brock Purdy: that he's just throwing to wide open pass catchers all the time.

The Niners' average separation at the time the pass arrives is 3.44 yards, which ranks 18th in the NFL.

These are just from the first few pages after his preseason snaps. I'm not ego posting, just saying these attributes were pretty obvious to someone who was kind of sick and tired of our previous QBs level of play.
We had some lean years there....

You guys are making TB cry in a Brock Purdy thread.
Even now Brady is a fairly attractive fellow. Some people have all the luck.
Oh s**t fat Brady

Can the 49ers win the Super Bowl with Purdy as the quarterback? "They can't. No," Ruiz responded. "If they do, I'm not covering the sport again. If they win it with Brock Purdy ... Sam Darnold, sure. I can get on board with Sam Darnold, not Brock Purdy."
LOL luv all the Brocky hate, but the dirty little secret is they don't hate him because he is great at Quarterbacking... the haters are getting triggered over nonfootball reated issues

Lol Brady would never allow for his body to get all chunky, funny tho lol. If anything, he gets more gaunt and twiggy like. Lol

A lot of the "hate" comes from how bad Purdy was evaluated during the draft process by "experts" and scouts, giving him credit would come at the cost of everyone admitting they were wrong and don't know what they're talking about
