There are so many tiny pieces that he has added into his repertoire this offseason that it has had a big impact on his game. The casual fan is just not picking up on all of them. Especially that dropping back like a left handed QB and making the switch to the right. He makes that s**t look easy and natural like. His footwork is clean, crisp and beautiful to watch. I see no more tendencies besides maybe favoring the left side of the field a little more than the right. Still, DAL defense is a big test. If he plays well and we win, perception will change even more.

My first comments after seeing him hit the field were exactly this. His footwork was perfect.

It made me want to see more. I saw something special in him right from the jump, but always understated it because I didn't want to draw any criticism for hyping him up early on.

I remember watching the dolphins game and every drive he was in, I was like "what the hell is going on?". You just knew he was doing special stuff but I kept telling myself "let's see how he looks next drive".

the thing that stood out the most to me was his poise and confidence. He didn't flinch and it seemed like he had been doing that for years. I still forget that he hasn't even started 10 regular season games. Lol feels like such a vet

Not sure if this has been posted yet, but decent analysis lots of focus on footwork

"Look at that pocket. He has one of the best o lines in football"
Lol, we're not tier 1 so what ever you see is smoke and mirrors

Hang in there, bud! 4 more games and they might get there!

Purdy's real-time processing of the field was impressive. There's no two ways about it.

I thought Purdy's footwork was excellent.

I went back and took another look to verify. Granted he was never flustered, but he remained active was able to set his feet instantly.

His footwork is really good. He can focus on all sorts of other development with that out of the way.

I have a feeling we keep him.

These are just from the first few pages after his preseason snaps. I'm not ego posting, just saying these attributes were pretty obvious to someone who was kind of sick and tired of our previous QBs level of play.

We had some lean years there....

That's great spank bank material! Hahah that's pretty cool though. It's fun to look back and see when you noticed something about a player early on. His play in that pre season is why he was never cut, the team knew he would be snatched up.

i love him. Larry Krueger loved him early on - but krueg loves everyone in a 49er jersey. Hahaha he's a true fan.
Can the 49ers win the Super Bowl with Purdy as the quarterback? "They can't. No," Ruiz responded. "If they do, I'm not covering the sport again. If they win it with Brock Purdy ... Sam Darnold, sure. I can get on board with Sam Darnold, not Brock Purdy."

LOL luv all the Brocky hate, but the dirty little secret is they don't hate him because he is great at Quarterbacking... the haters are getting triggered over nonfootball reated issues
Ruiz quitting might be the best non-traditional reason I want the 49ers to win the SB with Purdy now. What a dick.

You guys are making TB cry in a Brock Purdy thread.

Even now Brady is a fairly attractive fellow. Some people have all the luck.

Oh s**t fat Brady

Lol Brady would never allow for his body to get all chunky, funny tho lol. If anything, he gets more gaunt and twiggy like. Lol

A lot of the "hate" comes from how bad Purdy was evaluated during the draft process by "experts" and scouts, giving him credit would come at the cost of everyone admitting they were wrong and don't know what they're talking about

Yep.

The same reason most coaches and GMs wouldn't make the choice Kyle and Lynch did - too committed to looking smart in retrospect instead of looking forward with what's the right decision right now.

+1 Was gonna say the same. Brock f**ked up every guy who thinks he knows something about college qb potentially playing in the NFL. They pegged him as a lowly nobody outside looking in. Even with evidence in total contrary, they still try to hold on to being right to be wrong about Brock,
