You don't know football until you know trendy stats

Efficient but not a true franchise QB like Peyton. Even after winning three SBs you had a lot of people calling him just a system guy blessed to play on a team with a dominant defense.

True
Brock is getting better each game

Yea, Brady wasn't seen as a tier 1 QB until 2007.

that's not the debate tho
the post was he wasn't actually good for a few years, he was surely good winning SB MVP to start his career, and went on to NFL MVP level
Brock_Star Montana Purdy.

He throws touchdowns and wins games.

Kinda funny how some people are worried about Brock having to play the Dallas defense for a second time..like they would some how figure him out.....they really should have been worried about what happens when Brock gets to play the Dallas defense a second time....

The whole "figure out Brock" line of thinking is fools gold, too much of his game is built on making the right call and putting the ball in the right spot. The dude is releasing the ball before the WR makes his break.... Dudes are going to end up extremely open if defenders start trying to guess when to break on Purdy's throws.

He was "good" from the start. It's not like he was seen like Trent Dilfer or even Brad Johnson.

Would be even better #s if we were not beating teams down in the 4th quarter.

don't forget his 2 rushing touchdowns!

Or the two TD's that should have been passing TD's except called as backwards passes for no strategic reason at all lol.

Yup. I mean he was good enough as a rook they rostered 3 QBs. He showed it right away. Kinda like us with BP. He showed enough right away and we altered our plans also. Can't put guys like that on the PS. Even tho that was probably the expectation in both cases, prior to getting those guys in the bldg.
The way he throws with anticipation, the accuracy, and the decision making like a 10 year vet. Just don't make any sense from a 23 year old with less than a season worth of games. Guys like Purdy just don't exist in football.

Agree. This kid is legit.

How the f**k did he last until the 7th... he's got real deal talent. With Brady it was understandable bc it still took him several years to actually look good. Purdy has been doing it since day and looks like a first overall pick. Just insane.

it didn't take Brady years to look good, he won a SB his first year he played,
both guys just needed an opportunity to see the field, that era wasn't as friendly to QB numbers, on a D and Special Teams squad also, while BP is with Shanny

Yes it did. It absolutely did.

He won SB MVP first year he played, he played well enough year 1 of playing to get Bledsoe traded out of town
I'd say that more than qualifies as 'good'

Lol Brady wasn't seen that way for the first couple of years. You're dead wrong.

I was 100% confident that Brock would be a lot better, especially because of how he has looked this year. He looked better than I thought.

I was actually more worried about the defense. Not in the way that i thought they would get smoked. I thought they would just have some long drives against them. I predicted 34-17, it was even better than I expected. Cowboys scored one touchdown less than I thought and we scored more than I thought, good problem to have.

Cowboys defense has inflated stats - 3/4 of the games they've played, have been the 3 worst offenses in the NFL. We have one of the best. Only offense that did well was a 10th ranked cards O - so I knew we would ball.
