Agree. This kid is legit.

How the f**k did he last until the 7th... he's got real deal talent. With Brady it was understandable bc it still took him several years to actually look good. Purdy has been doing it since day and looks like a first overall pick. Just insane.

it didn't take Brady years to look good, he won a SB his first year he played,
both guys just needed an opportunity to see the field, that era wasn't as friendly to QB numbers, on a D and Special Teams squad also, while BP is with Shanny

Yes it did. It absolutely did.

He won SB MVP first year he played, he played well enough year 1 of playing to get Bledsoe traded out of town
I'd say that more than qualifies as 'good'

Lol Brady wasn't seen that way for the first couple of years. You're dead wrong.

SB MVP, I mean he won that. Dead wrong about an opinion lol plz.

Depends what you mean by 'good'. If you mean good he was good. If you mean NFL MVP well that's more than good. He was good enough as a rook to make roster BB talks about having to carry 3 QBs and waste essentially a roster spot. Same with Brock.
13 games and he hasn't even played a bad game, lol. His worst game was against Dallas in the playoffs last year and he still threw for 200+ with no turnovers. I suppose you could count getting injured against the Eagles or mop-up duty against the Chiefs but otherwise, no bad game. Even the Rams game everyone was saying was bad because of 2 overthrows he executed three critical TD drives.

Pats actually carried FOUR Qbs in 2000, his rookie year. he was good enough to make BB waste a roster spot though cause he knew he would lose him. nuts.

yeah it's documented BB said there's no way they were gonna put him on PS he's too good, they knew it
same with Brock, go back and listen to Trent and Fred talk about Brock as a rook, they knew QB3 was a guy
Colinsworth was all over Brock today and giving him due praise. It was pretty cool. man.. I'm just so thrilled we finally have a real QB.

we have AT WORST the second best QB in the NFC and I think at worst a top 7 QB in the nfl... so lucky after years of Jimmy and the Trey debacle.

The whole "figure out Brock" line of thinking is fools gold, too much of his game is built on making the right call and putting the ball in the right spot. The dude is releasing the ball before the WR makes his break.... Dudes are going to end up extremely open if defenders start trying to guess when to break on Purdy's throws.

I was 100% confident that Brock would be a lot better, especially because of how he has looked this year. He looked better than I thought.

I was actually more worried about the defense. Not in the way that i thought they would get smoked. I thought they would just have some long drives against them. I predicted 34-17, it was even better than I expected. Cowboys scored one touchdown less than I thought and we scored more than I thought, good problem to have.

Cowboys defense has inflated stats - 3/4 of the games they've played, have been the 3 worst offenses in the NFL. We have one of the best. Only offense that did well was a 10th ranked cards O - so I knew we would ball.

I was worried about the D too.....

The look as good as we could hope for in a big game tho......

I think it is just a reminder that this is a long season, and it is hard to split hairs over a few drives here or there....

one thing I love about this team is that they play their best when the lights are the brightest, especially the defense. we are in good hands.

Not bad for having a noodle arm.

remember all the noodle arm, struggled against DAL in the playoff takes?

Lol yes. Tonight settles all that.

someone said he gets worse every start lol, that was a good one also

Lol, I forgot about that. Oh the memories

That was 49erRing

Yea, it was. After the Raiders game last year, and it was specifically talking about his QB rating. I'm ok with that comment. I was 85-90% in on Purdy after last year, with some reservations that's he's resolved, and I'm 100% in on him now.
Fun Fact - Brock still has never lost a night time game (college or pros). pretty amazing. Plays his best when the lights are the brightest

that's not the debate tho
the post was he wasn't actually good for a few years, he was surely good winning SB MVP to start his career, and went on to NFL MVP level

Those Patriots teams were winning with dominant defense more than anything else. Belichick was shutting down explosive offenses left and right.

You had similar talking points about Brady back then as you hear about Purdy now. "Lots of QBs could get the same results if they had that defense!"

, he was surely good winning SB MVP

He threw for 150 yards . The Patriots defense held the Greatest Show on Turf Rams to 17 points. Overall in 3 playoff games that year Brady had 1 TD and 1 INT. Hence why a lot of Pats fans believed that Bledsoe was more reliable to put up big points if the defense faltered.

i blame GGG, what kind of opinion is Brady didn't look good winning SB MVPs
maybe he didn't throw for 400 but I think SB MVP is pretty good,
Brock and Brady have some parallels, that's good for us, QB is about leadership, they both bring it

He's a top 5 QB. You don't need to see more.

He is elite.
