Before Purdy's first incompletion, he had completed 32 of his last 33 attempts. I'm not sure how to look it up, but my gut tells me it probably ranks as one of the hottest passing streaks in NFL history.

Brock's ability to get out of the pocket and find open guys when things breaks down. And then there are times he has CMC for outlets. That gives him the efficiency that we are seeing. Very similar to Steve Young, his mobility and having Rickie Watters.

The high power offense is back with Brock

Personally, what I think held Steve YOung back from multiple super bowls, was that he never had Bosa. Add in Seifert who couldn't draft well - and Steve would had multiple super bowls but for his head coach.

Purdy has a lot of things going for him. Great HC/GM - I mean they found Ronnie Bell, Jauan and Mason. Purdy has Bosa, and now he's going to have the 2nd coming of the fearsom foursom - Bosa, Hargrave, Armstead and Gregory. Holy cow!

That defense is really good playing from ahead. If they can make you one dimensional then they are really tough to play against. It also doesn't help that they are missing their best CB.

On the whole, I think KC, Philly, the Jets and Cleveland have much better and more balanced defenses.

Yeah, the Cards exposed them for lacking in the run D. It's still early in the season, there no reason they shouldn't get better. But right now Dallas D not as good as others in the league.
I think we have had enough of this he is him stuff.... It is California for god's sake...you MAKE cultural trends....you don't follow them a year after random people in an Alabama trailer park are using them...

using such a dated trend in connection with Brock is a disservice.

Dallas did that to themselves....look how tight the line gaping was last night. They hurt their pass rush in an attempt play run gaps. I guess it was a case of choose your poison. You want CMC to kill you, or Brock to kill you?

Watch the league go back to drafting smaller QB's now with an emphasis in processing and football IQ again.

THIS, and college prospects who started 3 or 4 years

Young did have a Bosa. They traded away Charles Haley

It is soooo nice to finally be able to say such things again.

After Caleb Williams, I have no idea who are the next QB prospects.
It's nuts how people act like having Shanahan and the rest of the offense disqualifies Purdy from the MVP conversation. Yet Kyle never gets the nod for Coach of the Year. So Kyle doesn't get credit because the players are too good and the players don't get credit because Kyle is too good. Lmao the NFL is on notice!

Starting 3 or 4 years doesn't do much if you are playing in the wrong offense. If Brock starts 4 years at TCU he isn't near the same player.

I know Caleb is a better athlete w/a more positive attitute ... but his arm, the release and the velocity of his passes reminds me of Jeff George... simply WOW... NOW, i hope he turns out way better than George..

as far as after, everyone's talkin about UNC's Mayes, but the kid from Duke, he's not a very talented passer yet.. he reminds me of a RIGHT HANDED STEVE YOUNG w/TIM TEBOW type of passion for the game !!

On paper this QB class is great. But who knows, just a couple years Lawrence, Jones, Trey, Fields, Wilson was also great and only one guy right now looks like he was worth a 1st round pick

that's not the debate tho
the post was he wasn't actually good for a few years, he was surely good winning SB MVP to start his career, and went on to NFL MVP level

Those Patriots teams were winning with dominant defense more than anything else. Belichick was shutting down explosive offenses left and right.

You had similar talking points about Brady back then as you hear about Purdy now. "Lots of QBs could get the same results if they had that defense!"

, he was surely good winning SB MVP

He threw for 150 yards . The Patriots defense held the Greatest Show on Turf Rams to 17 points. Overall in 3 playoff games that year Brady had 1 TD and 1 INT. Hence why a lot of Pats fans believed that Bledsoe was more reliable to put up big points if the defense faltered.

If you are a fan of Bill Simmons and his Ewing theory, he labeled Bledsoe a prime candidate before 2001, he was proven totally correct. "Drew Bledsoe: Every Patriots fan is nodding right now." this is another quote from Simmons: "Again, Drew Bledsoe was the first Ewing Theory candidate I mentioned. Deep down, we (and by "we," I mean, "Patriots fans") all knew."

Basically Bill is saying Bledsoe put up stats, he wasn't gonna take the team to the SB title, and Pats fans like Simmons knew it before 2001.. with some guys that just have that 'it' factor like TB and BP.

Dude, just stop

"150 yards . The Patriots defense held the Greatest Show on Turf Rams to 17 points. Overall in 3 playoff games that year Brady had 1 TD and 1 INT." as Phoenix said.

Never should have been to the 1st one..
He fumbled the ball per Brady & it was called a "tuck" to get him there..

Let me repeat this..
"150 yards . The Patriots defense held the Greatest Show on Turf Rams to 17 points.

Overall in 3 playoff games that year Brady had 1 TD and 1 INT."
and your trying to say he was dominating and looked at as he's gonna be great…
No
Brock isn't the real deal.

He's the real deal…..HOLYFIELD!
