Seifert imo wasn't an elite HC, there is a reason he went to CAR and bombed
Holmgren and M Shanny were better coaches than Siefert,

Agree 💯%,

Has any QB ever gone on a streak as good as 32-33?

Before Purdy's first incompletion, he had completed 32 of his last 33 attempts. I'm not sure how to look it up, but my gut tells me it probably ranks as one of the hottest passing streaks in NFL history.

Brock's ability to get out of the pocket and find open guys when things breaks down. And then there are times he has CMC for outlets. That gives him the efficiency that we are seeing. Very similar to Steve Young, his mobility and having Rickie Watters.

The high power offense is back with Brock

Personally, what I think held Steve YOung back from multiple super bowls, was that he never had Bosa. Add in Seifert who couldn't draft well - and Steve would had multiple super bowls but for his head coach.

Purdy has a lot of things going for him. Great HC/GM - I mean they found Ronnie Bell, Jauan and Mason. Purdy has Bosa, and now he's going to have the 2nd coming of the fearsom foursom - Bosa, Hargrave, Armstead and Gregory. Holy cow!

Young did have a Bosa. They traded away Charles Haley

Yeach, even Seifert said (after he retired from coaching) it was one of his biggest brain farts.

I mean props to George, ppl don't seem to like that take, except for us , and I get it, George was an SF lifer and won 5 rings, not trying to clown on him
it's just if I am starting a franchise from scratch, I don't for second take G Seifert as my HC over Holmgren or Mike Shanahan, I just don't. Not even close.
I never thought I'd see a qb challenge big bens record of wins to start a year. I want it 😈

one record I am interested in they mentioned CMC may tie the all time most consecutive games with a TD, I thought that would be a bigger deal, they didn't really get into who has the record, they should be making a bigger deal out of this, it's a big record
At this rate Brock is projected
4.3k passing yards
72% completion
31 touchdowns
0 int
7 rushing tds

MWHUAHAHA

Holmgren for me. Mike too, but as a second. One reason is that I think Holmgren might be the better QB coach whereas Mike might be the better scheme coach. Both are great coaches though - as a franchise owner you can't go wrong with either.

You can see the thru line from Mike Shanny to this era, Brian Griese was Mike's QB, he played a role in finding Griese, Shanny brought Ed McCaffrey to DEN from SF, now we have CMC, Ed was at the game last night as we saw on the broadcast, Lynch played for Mike Shanny and on it goes. So cool the ties to the last champ team and our current dare I say, champ team
I'm going to keep saying this: just because Brock was drafted last doesn't mean that he CANNOT be an elite quarterback. You can measure his height his speed his arm strength even his athleticism. The two things you can't measure are his heart and, to a degree, his field intelligence. But, now, you can SEE it. As did Dallas and the majority of the football community last night. And let's stop talking about how he needs to be tested. HE'S BEING TESTED!!! And he is acing the b*#%!h!!!

Mike Shanahan coached under Dan Reeves and Al Davis (as well as getting the WCO from Seifert) that's three great traditions uniting under Mike and Kyle. The great motion offenses under Tom Landry, and the great Deep strike offenses under Sid Gillman and Al Davis. Then you add the Zone Run twists that Mike developed with Alex Gibbs, and you have a plethora of offensive systems and techniques that cover both the run and pass. As others have said, Kyle's offense is one of the most comprehensive and complicated offenses in the NFL. Its a PHd in football X's and O's if you coach for Kyle Shanahan.
where is NY? we have mountains of crow here going uneaten

Seifert was a very good HC. He won 2 SBs and a ton of games. He only looks lesser in comparison to Walsh who is one of the greatest NFL HCs of all time.
I go on Twitter to just look up 49ers data and stats only, all off season I saw eagles fans trolling cowboys fans that they lost to Brock Purdy "a seventh round average QB".

i bet those same eagles fans aren't feeling so good about playing thirty Purdy in week 13 now. We have a special ass whoopin comin their way.
