How simple minded does someone have to be to think that physical tools are all that's needed to play the QB position? Or is he actually saying that Mac Jones processes the game and makes decisions like Purdy? Either way, it's laughable.

Watching The Pat McAfee show, love this show now, anyway Rodgers just basically clowned on Orlovsky for what he said about Mac Jones being able to do what Brock is doing. He's a fan of Brock, I used to think Rodgers was an ass, but he seems like a cool guy. Maybe his cockyness is just on the field, much respect to him, and quick recovery.

I've always liked Rodgers, just not the team he played on or when he played us.

I remember when he went in against the cowboys in 2007, when Favre and the pack were having a great year (Legitimize SB contenders) and Rodgers had to go into the cowboy game. I thought he looked really good. I was watching that game with a big packer fan and he was telling me how the team wad screwed once favre retired cause the backup Rodgers was no good. Bahahah

that 2007 packers team was stacked too. Had a great year - and favre did what he does best, threw a pick in the NFCC to lose the trip to the super bowl.

that was favres last game as a packer

Mina Kimes, on the other hand, has been awfully quiet lately regarding Purdy. She usually tweets during prime time games, but had nothing to say this Sunday night. She shares Orlovskys opinion that he's just a product of Kyles system. Probably waiting for Purdy to have a bad game so she say, "aha! see it's all Kyle"

Who is Mina and what football team did she play for?
I'll post this here because Purdy is playing some of the best ball I've seen from a niners QB since I started watching film. Ridonkulously good.

She's just an analyst who happens to be a Seahawks fan. Sometimes I agree with her, most times not so much.

I like mina but like others, she will take the L
"The most important story in the NFL this season might be Brock Purdy turning into an asset. He's not just along for the ride. Watch Sunday's game. His processing, anticipation and accuracy are very good, and those skills are probably more important than the ability to throw a ball 80 yards downfield. The 49ers are easily the best team in the NFL right now and Purdy is a big reason for that." — Frank Schwab

PUTTIN RESPECT ON HIS NAME, BABY! Love it

Lol

shes an "analyst" that ESPN has been pushing. But, more importantly, she's a Shehawks fan and a Purdy/Niner hater.

Oh I still think he is an ass and proves it daily but he does know QBs so it is nice he is giving his honest take on that.

Yup, Mac Jones sucks.

And let me be clear on this:

I still much rather the three first rounders for Lance over Mac at 12 or wherever we were originally slotted, Purdy or no Purdy.

Jones is GARBAGE.

Call me ignorant, but I'm going to go ahead and choose to believe that if we don't make the trade and pick Trey, we wouldn't have ended up with Brock.

With Mac, he would've started immediately and probably would've looked decent enough his rookie season and taking Purdy likely would've been seen as kind of redundant. With Fields, he probably doesn't get hurt like Trey did, leading to the domino effect of Purdy getting his shot.

No 2021 QB and who knows. Maybe Jimmy is still here or we take Kenny Pickett in 2022 instead.

We didn't see much of Trey at all when we drafted Purdy, but sometimes just one slight difference in the process changes the whole evaluation.
Something I noticed about Brock is what he does when he goes back to the bench. It doesn't matter if he just threw a TD or they had to punt. He goes to the bench and sits next to his QB coach and they look at the tablet so they can review what happened. Like I said it doesn't matter whether they scored a TD or punted. He reviews the plays so he can see how they were successful or why they weren't. I seem to recall that Jimmy rarely did that. He usually just went back to the bench and stared out at the field. Brock has the ability to keep absorbing knowledge which will only make him better.
