Brock Purdy threw all 4 of his TD passes from outside the tackle box, the most in a game in the NGS era.

Purdy completed 7 of 10 passes over 10 air yards for 166 yards & 3 TD. He leads the NFL in completion percentage (72.1%) on such passes this season.

While the improvisation was a massive success to the tune of four scores, Purdy confirmed in an exclusive interview with NBC Sports' Peter King that these throws outside the pocket were not by design.

"They were definitely not by design," Purdy told King. "But you're just playing football, and you feel the push, and you go, and you just make the play".

Lamar isn't more accurate than Brock, and this is coming from probably more a fan of Lamar, than most on this board, I felt he was worth that big contract most ppl were telling me otherwise

He has Jackson's accuracy as 90/100 and Purdy's as 79/100, LOL

And has statements like this:

"His ball placement forces his receivers to make many awkward adjustments, and his timing can get thrown off by pressure."

"Purdy doesn't see the field well from a muddied pocket, and while he's hanging in there a bit longer in 2023—a big factor in his improvement year over year—it's still the weakest aspect of his game."

Which doesn't track with the film at all, IMO.

he dings Brock on pocket presence, creativity, decision making also, look at the pocket presence, on the TD to Kittle on SNF, maybe I should specify which one

, as he threw 3 to Kittle, but I think you all know which one I am talking about

these 'experts' need to spare me the weak hypotheticals, lets get more into reality. like the reality of how BP is doing in his situation, and how Mac is doing in his situation. also we have the reality of how TL did in our system. I think that gives all the info you need.

DAMN, Cohn has become a believer, I know he has a bad rep, but I was on his show this summer, he's not that bad, seems like a persona of his, he's really down to earth to talk to 1 on 1.

Cohn goes where the clicks go. After Sunday night it'll be easier to get more clicks praising Purdy than doubting Purdy because the national narrative got upended.

I think it depends purdy is not just better than Lamar but one of best in those anticipation throws over the middle and is way more accurate on those timing based routes

lamar on the flip side is one of the best in touch based throws

ruiz rankings are ridiculous as are his grades though
