As long as the QB and Skill player are on the same page, it's like impossible to stop.

I can only think of one throw, I believe it was against Dallas, where Brock threw it and no one was there. That's the only play I can think of where there was a miscommunication.

Id be curious to hear Aiyuk and deebo talk about how different it is, awareness wise, to have to be aware to catch balls before you're open Vs Jimmy when he'd only throw if you were open (or triple covered LOL).

okay Bernie Kozar, I see you 😎

Nick Wright and Ruiz are idiots. What do they know about football?

Purdy massively upgrades this team and he is one of the best players on the team. One of the reasons we are this good. Without him we would not be this good. Their arguments are just ridiculous.

Without BP we would be legit taking Ls to the worst team in football, we saw that last season
then we would be blaming it on Trent Williams and Deebo, etc.

"It's the system" though. Lol such lazy analysis by so many. Yeah let's just drop in Mac Jones and I'm sure all of that would have happened.

Easy retort, if its the system then why has no other niner qb played this well? Why did kyle ship out his first rounder and jimmy g for mr. Irrelevant?

clearly its because bcb is awesome

I'm telling you, the media and other fans are masters at moving goal posts to diminish the 49ers QB, skill players, coaches, one at a time....

If Purdy is truly just a plug in QB, then Kyle has built a monster not even the Cowboys built in the early '90s with Jimmy, or previous Niner dynasty teams, or 2007 Patriots teams. Roster and coaching would HAVE TO BE, the very best ever.

However, they've found ways to diminish Kyle when they wanted to. Maybe not closing out Super Bowls or NFC Championship Games, or whatever. Remember how invisible Kyle was until 2019? Didn't matter how competitive he was making the Niners and an offense that finally was watchable, while Jim Harbaugh McVay inherited a solid Rams team with a good QB. Now after Shanahan has kicked his ass a thousand times, he's finally "better".

Kittle? Crazy game from him and had many others. Yet we have to hear how Kelce is better, just because he's force fed the ball in a higher volume passing offense which until this past season had no peer from SF.

I can't stand the whole thing.

Nobody bothers with the defense, the only part of our team that's always been considered elite since 2019.

Obliterating the Cowboys on SNF was the ultimate F YOU a 49er QB has had in such a long time, it's undeniable.

Can't wait to shut up Eagles' fans now........they are worse than Cowboy fans!

Same.

Dude is unbelievable.

Yeah I think what more people should be asking is "how did everyone miss him in the evaluation?"

I personally think too many people try to evaluate QBs the same way you evaluate all the other positions - rely way too much on physical measurable and think they're relevant. QB is the one position where physical tools don't determine your potential, like it does for WR/CB/OL/DL etc.

as long as the QBs measurable date good enough, because there is a baseline it needs to meet, then it's really all about what's between their ears and work ethic. How do they process the game, spacial awareness, leadership, work ethic, etc.

if they have all of the things mentioned above AND great physical tools, great. If they have average physical tools and all the right things mentioned above, that's great too.

but I don't think you can take someone with just
the physical tools and teach them the rest. Which is why so many people fail at drafting QBs. They try to take athletes and make them cerebral quarterbacks. A qb with great physical tools is just an immaterial bonus. Look at so many of the greats - they weren't Josh allen. They're closer to Brock Purdy.
The closest "measurables" QB that I can think of was Dan Marino. He was really, really good. But he couldn't win squat.

it HAPPENS.. we ourselves fell in love so much w/Lance because he was able to do a Mahomes type roll out left and granaded a 68 yard bomb during the work out.. NO ONE knew B-ROCK STEADY was going to be more than a 3rd stringer..

.. and even had he gone to a place like Chicago or Pittsburgh, I doubt that he fit in their system..

it was odd that you fought it for this long

No I just needed more before being all in. I feel like that shouldn't have been an extreme take in here. Either way he's been great and I'm all in.

Purdy is hitting the deeper routes than just taking the easy short throws. Big difference in why I feel our offense is chumming how its been.
It's simpler than that. Brock takes what the D gives him. If they give him a deep shot, he'll take it. The important thing is that this makes our offense impossible to defend. Dallas tried to take away the middle of the field with robbers and inverted coverages and Brock cut them up. The crazy thing is that Brock is content to just dink and dunk or hand the ball off. This is a complete team.

How would Brock fare with a crappy running game and garbage skill players? Probably not good at all. Only three guys maybe could win under that scenario.

Tom Moore when asked why the Colts offense with Peyton Manning was so lethal:

"We're both driving to the airport, I know exactly where the airport is, you think you know where it is but you're not entirely sure, which one of us makes it there first?"
