After the first half of the Steelers game, I was fully all in. This kid is the real deal. He's making quite a few plays on his "own" while also being extremely efficient within the offense. Love his leadership, his tenacity, passion for game. The way he sees the field and processes is elite level stuff.

Right now he's basically close or if not he is a top 5 QB. If he ever develops a good consistent deep ball (which he's definitely shown he can pull off) he's gonna be Brees with much better mobility. That's HOF type stuff

brock did special things last year, IMO, and when you see that - you nurture it and see how real it is. I knew he would keep doing well because he wasn't good because of a gimmick. He was good because of how well he read pre/post snap, accuracy, amazing poise etc. so I thought he would continue doing well but was unsure if he could get in that top 7, which I think he's there now.

i was worried about his injury having a long term impact and an immediate impact on his mental health in the short term. Neither have shown to be an issue.

i was all in on continuing to start him and see what he had, but I was unsure how great he would look. I'm an optimistic guy and have said on here that I think Brock would be good this year - but he's played better than I thought he would. It's just amazing and special. I'm so grateful that he is our qb.

it's astonishing how many amazing players we've got in the mid to late rounds. Lol statistically doesn't even make sense. Hahah

Agree 💯% and the more amazing thing is how ShanaLynch continues to get great coaches to coach for the 49ers. Wilks is impressive. He shut down the Dallas quick game and Texas Coast offense. Wilks, is 🏹🏹🏹 up in my opinion, with regards to getting better as a 49er DC using the awkward wide-9 alignment.

He did a lot of man to man in the Dallas game and it resulted in three turnovers. So I'm really looking forward to seeing Jaier, Grayham, and Winters develop under Wilks and add to the defensive depth as we head towards the playoffs.

Fred Warner told the people on Shady's show with Acho, Jones and Joy Taylor that Brock is the unquestioned leader of the team. They all agreed he is the MVP of the league right now.

Yeah I always liked the wilks hire, still do. He's had some times where the defense struggled to get off the field but I don't think the defense has been bad at all. The cowboys game was a great performance by the defense - I may be wrong but it looked like we used completely different strategy against them than we have played others with, and it looked great. I feel like we did more press and weren't giving such large cushions.

things are looking good. It's still early in the season so we have to remember that we just need to improve week to week and stay healthy.

If Brock beats Hurts in the Eagles game, I think he'll be the front runner for MVP. I don't think that's going to be a nationally televised game like the Dallas game though. It's at 1 pm.

it was odd that you fought it for this long

No I just needed more before being all in. I feel like that shouldn't have been an extreme take in here. Either way he's been great and I'm all in.

This was me too. I just wanted to see more of this, since we have been burned by the last two QB's that we thought were the ones.

I am all in now. Brock Purdy is an elite QB, no question about it.
see more?.. let the boy cook and enjoy

As in see more of this once this season started. I have seen more, and then some. He's a baller, and we are lucky to have him

I'm just glad that we are all brockhard together 😎. Finally, the kind of circle jerk we all wanna be apart of. Muhahahah

Yessir! Brockhard baby

It's gonna be the FOX game of the week at 4 I believe so most the country will get it
Notice how Brock's feet are calm, not jumpy, while he is in the pocket, as some QB coaches tell QB's to stay on their toes and bounce while going through their progressions. This is something I don't believe I saw him do last year. Brock is very steady. Therefore, one of my cousins, who is a stomp down 49ers fan, calls him
"Brock Steady".

Yup if anything it will get moved, especially if both are still undefeated
I might be late to the party, but here's what his name who wont be mentioned wrote on his QB rating from the site that won't be linked. Oh, Purdy is now the 23rd ranked QB, behind the likes of Daniel Jones. f**king hack.

Let's talk about Brock Purdy. Well, let's use Purdy to talk about how these quarterback rankings work and why the NFL's leader in expected points added and QBR doesn't have a ranking to match his gaudy production. The most straightforward explanation is that these rankings aren't based solely on production, and maybe you see that as a flaw in the methodology, but there are plenty of sortable stat pages on the internet if that's how you want to stack quarterbacks. Instead, the aim here is to rank NFL passers based on their skill sets, using uniform grading criteria for each quarterback. That means you won't see wild swings after a good or bad game—that's a feature, not a bug. Changes are meant to be more gradual because we don't see quarterbacks improve or regress that quickly.

Purdy is playing good football. He's executing Kyle Shanahan's offense at a high level and making the most out of an extraordinary situation. He's also improved from last season, and that's been reflected in his attribute grading, where we've seen big improvements in his accuracy, timing, and decision-making scores.

I've given Purdy credit for the skills that help make him a fit in Shanahan's offense. But I don't want to overstate his ability in those categories. His accuracy is merely good, not great. His timing has improved this season, but he still has room for further development. His decision-making is still mediocre, but playing in Shanahan's system helps mitigate that issue. That's what I see on film, and there's statistical evidence to back it up. His turnover-worthy throw rate—as charted by Pro Football Focus—is identical to those of Jordan Love and Sam Howell. Those two have thrown 12 interceptions combined; Purdy has yet to be picked off. His accuracy rate ranks a mediocre 16th, per PFF, where he finds himself as the meat in a Baker Mayfield–Justin Fields sandwich. The perception that Purdy is uniquely accurate and making great decisions isn't backed by the metrics designed to track those things specifically, and it also doesn't match what I see when I watch him play.

Going into the Dallas game, Purdy ranked 22nd in passing grade, presumably for many of the same reasons I had him at 25th before this week's update. While our methodologies are not at all similar—PFF's grading system is more scientific—the overarching goal is the same: to evaluate a player's performance independent of factors like play-calling, scheme, and surrounding talent; to try to take into account that Shanahan is making Purdy's job easier, as he's done for so many other quarterbacks; to not give him too much credit for throws that go for big gains thanks to Christian McCaffrey; and to still ding him for those dangerous throws that get caught by Brandon Aiyukor knocked away from defenders by George Kittle.

I will continue to rank every quarterback in the NFL based on the same criteria. Here's where things stand heading into Week 6 …

This is what he wants and why he does it: attention
After the Sunday beat down of the Cowboys, my friend who is a Cowboys fan sent me this...

" Brock Purdy may be the best QB in the league. I have been holding off until he played some more games, but the guy is just insane with his accuracy and timing. It's unbelievable "
He's the best QB in the league PERIOD. I've seen enough to call him a generational talent. 3rd best QB I have seen play football (after Montana & Young).
Arm strength looks definitely above average which is f**king unreal since he had major elbow surgery in March.
He's never lost a f**king game 13-0 including two playoff games as a rookie (Loss to Eagles is on Josh Johnson). No motherf**king QB has ever done that before.

@mods please change my name to Brock3233
Change title of this thread to QB Brock "the real deal" Purdy

That's great news that it's going to be nationally viewed. More chances of Brock getting the votes if he wins vs the Eagles!
