And so what if he is playing in a "system" or whatever you want to call it. He is winning games. Isn't that what he is supposed to be doing? I see Purdy running through this league to a SB win. WHO'S GONNA STOP THE SYSTEM!?!?!?

Elite status is earned,...not given. We don't call ANY QB elite this early. Not much here.

He's 12 - 0 in games he didn't tear his elbow. Or 13 - 0 if you include Miami last year where he played like more than 3/4 of the game after Jimmy G went down. Regular season, post season, home, road, playoffs, everything inclusive.

Great. All im saying is the sample size is to small to be definitively saying he is or isn't an elite qb. Let them man play and develop. Play a full season or 2 before starting the elite qb debate. I'm not gonna call Jalen Hurts an elite qb after 1 great year and a super bowl appearance. He has to at least string together 2 great seasons to start the elite qb talk. Brock is trending that way. We just need to let him cook and the accolades will come

What constitutes elite is purely subjective. Purdy has only ever played at a level comparable to those considered "elite". In my mind, until he proves otherwise, he's currently one of the best QBs in the game. That's all the evidence I have to go by.

We have a solid 13-game sample size. That's almost a full season.

If a 1st round rookie QB started 13 games and put up a 115 passer rating with zero losses everyone would be labeling him the future of the league.

now mangini is flapping his gums too.

It'll just make it more entertaining the more purdy keeps ballin

have you guys noticed that the guys who either played QB and/or were a HC are praising purdy? and the guys who didnt/werent are saying he is a system guy? lol

I know which one I trust.

haha
I'm going to laugh if he goes 20 - 0, league MVP, Super Bowl MVP. Steven Ruiz will move him up to #19 best QB.

Look I think he's on the trajectory for sure but it makes sense to say he's playing elite ball but he's not an elite QB yet.

Yeah idk I am from Vegas, so seeing famous ppl is pretty common place and not really a big whoop. I mean, it's cool but I don't go out of my way to say hi to celebs when I see them cause it's just so common, also, out of respect and I just don't really think about going up to them. They are just quick moments where I am walking by and notice so-and-so happens to cross my path on the strip or whatever and that is that.

Lots of celebs are locals..and they are just part of the town/community. I gotta say though..if someone is out dining..man, let them eat like everyone else. It's rude not to respect privacy in that situation imo. I saw a celeb eating at a restaurant..my friends wanted me to go up to him..as I am a huge fan of his but insisted..no, no..that is not something you do. Unfortunately, more ppl noticed him..and he literally dashed out of the restaurant to avoid the mob. That's hella rude lol.

One of the Golden Knights had a meet n greet not long ago..and ppl lost their s**t to try and talk with him/get a sig. Swarm. I mean they wouldn't hardly let him get into his car as he was trying to leave..total mob. The crowd had him backed up against the car, begging for signatures. Security had to literally push ppl out of his way..that is nutty.

I never approach celebs when they are eating with their family. that is so low class.

I also don't get starstruck. they are just humans like everyone.

Saw Joe Staley in the airport not too long ago. Didn't approach.

I could seriously watch the highlights from this game all day and not get tired of it. So many beautiful plays, beautiful throws.

I've already rewatched the game 4 times.

Same, can't get enough of those elite QB throws!

The one he threw over Vander Esh was , one inch lower and its an interception! What incredible accuracy!

not sure an inch translates to an INT, but it was a great play

Yeah, that's reasonable. I have no issues with people wanting to see more. I personally have seen enough, however. He's not getting lucky, or carried by good scheme. He's doing things only elite QBs do. His anticipation, JTO calls, "world-class," just can't be taught, and I've seen enough consistency and growth in his game to say he's a top 5 QB right now, perhaps better. That makes him elite in my mind.

Joe Staley probably saw you, and was like, "Is that Crown?!? Better not approach him and be one of those fans." Class act that Staley.

PREACH! I feel the same way. I feel like us hardcore fans have a good interpretation of what's going on because we've watched kyles offense be operated by numerous QBs - so we have a better idea of when it's the system vs a great collaboration between the system and QB.

what we are seeing is a great system executed, and elevated, by elite qb play. There are tons of stats to prove this, but more importantly, there's a ton of TAPE.

Brock absolutely deserves to be in the MVP convo, but needs to be consistent for the remainder of the season to stay there. Brocks leadership, poise, anticipation, accuracy, touch, pre/post snap reads.. and so much more.. have been at an elite level. What he has done is special and rare.

i honestly feel grateful that we stumbled into him and aren't eating it because of the Lance/Jimmy debacle. I've never been so excited and restless for the game each week - I feel like every week with Brock has been a treat and witnessed some sort of history.
