Nah, if Brocky brings home another Lombardi before then I think they reward him handsomely like they did with Bosa
Agree 💯%

He'll be well worth it. Give Purdy an offensive line that will give him 3 good seconds in the pocket, for 90% of the time, and you'll see a QB that will elevate guys equivalent to Ronnie Bell and Ray Ray McCloud to Deebo and Aiyuk type stats. Guys like undrafted Mason will be gashing teams for 5+ yards a pop, because teams are too afraid to load up on the run because of Brock's passing. Purdy will be a the cheapest player - capwise in a sense - because he will elevate good players to greatness.

He's getting a TON of great press clippings from the national media. I hope (and I know he will) stay steady and just keep working on his game and his craft and not listen and buy his own press clippings. The whole (in my opinion) national media is giving him a ton of praise. Any other guy, it will go to his head, but Purdy, I think is well grounded to ignore all that praise.

There are still many that are praising him but grudgingly. My guess is if he has one bad game they'll all turn on him. People just don't want to believe that a guy picked that late that every team overlooked could play this well. Some just can't get past his size and speed or not having the howitzer arm. I've heard some that admit that while not having those combine measurables he has all the other traits that make a QB great.
If purdy wins us a sb we can give him a blank check for all I care

Yeah, that throw was unreal lol, telling ya, the guy is bionic lol

He consistently throws into windows inches wide and 20+ yards downfield! GAME in and GAME out. EVERY game! Unbelievable! That's one of the reasons I say he's a generational talent. The closest player I can compare him to is Stephen Curry with his three point shots. Curry has just UNREAL accuracy with those three pointers, and Brock is just *Unreal* with his pinpoint accuracy and timing with his receivers! Protect this man with *TWO* elite offensive tackles (a right and a left) or I will personally picket 4949 DeBartolo way until ShanaLynch gets those players!!!

None of those knocks on him are relevant anymore. When a guy can hit a 20 yard out from the opposite hash on a dime with touch, his arm strength should never be questioned again. When a guy can run a 1.55s 10 yard split, has made elite pass rushers look silly and can outrun D lineman and LB's to the sideline, his speed should no longer be questioned. Its like people are just reading scouting reports and not actually watching the film.

Tankle gets it lol

Young was quite a while ago, while awesome to experience..it's great to be excited again:)

It's good times!

The way I view it… we've experienced two major harsh realities about the NFL the last twenty+ years.

1) your team getting elite QB play is extremely difficult. It's not only hard to find, but it requires dumb luck too. Kyle is considered an offensive genius and it took him a flier at pick 262 to luck into it . It's so hard to find and doesn't really matter how smart/talented a coach/GM is - requires a lot of luck.

2) it can be over and/or taken from you in the blink of an eye. Just like it all was in the NFCC game last year. We can assume that Brock will do this for the next 15 years, and I sure hope he does for 25 years, but we really don't know.

We are only guaranteed the moment so why not enjoy it as much as you can. Everything in life is a balance but finding what we have at QB sometimes can take a lifetime, if ever. Look at the bears. It's been 20+ years before we found it again - for a lot of us, that's 2/3 of our life. Lol

youre effin right some of us are gushin! This has been a crazy fun and exciting 10-12 game streak where we've seen historic things, just enjoy it. It will come to an end and we don't know how or when but I'm the type to just soak it in.

Agree 💯% about the LUCK factor. Here is an old interview of Kyle explaining what he's looking for in a QB. I believe the date of this interview is somewhere around 2016-2017, just as Kyle's beginning his Head Coaching career.

In other words, Kyle's been looking for Brock Purdy for a long time, and the thing is - he *knows* - exactly the kind of QB that will fit his system, and it took him *6 YEARS* to find him. Talk about *luck!*

There's never been an OL in the history of the NFL that does that you are describing lol.

Yeah it's difficult! Cause so much of it are variables we can't measure. Even when you draft a guy in the top of the first, you're hoping he has the intangibles and personality to match the coaches.

I think to get the most out of a QB, they need to equally have a great coach who meshes well with them. It's how they lead the team and get the most out of each other and everyone else on the team.

i think Brock has the perfect personality and mind to match kyles.
If its windy like predicted it will be a good test for Purdy. The niners may run more if it's windy. The Browns have a good secondary anyway.

That's exactly what they're doing. Like most of these TV guys and writers they just look at those reports and make their decision. It happens all the time. Today I was watching a college pre game show and one giy said he's picking Oregon over Washington because they have a top 5 defense. He obviously never looked at who Oregon has played so far.

Maybe not, but I've see some good OLines. One of the best was the Denver OLines back when Papa Shanahan was first implementing the zone run. Key to Kyle's play action boot passes is that the *pass play* looks like a run play from the git go - on those play actions. So give Purdy a good (to Great RB) Mason fits the good part (CMC the great part) running back and you will get those 3 second pockets because defenses are so keyed to stopping Kyle's run game. Currently Purdy is taking around 2.5 seconds to process and throw in the pocket - he's been unbeaten with that kind of time in the pocket. It's not hard to imagine either Colton or another first round talent (at the Trent Williams level) to man the right tackle spot, and give Purdy that time, if the interior line is above average to good.

Of course, teams will blitz Purdy if a 4 man rush is giving him too much time in the pocket, but that's another conversation about how Purdy has been destroying teams that blitz him.

I wish the weather was better cause I'd like to see how our offense matches up with the browns talent. They do have good corners and good D line. Their linebackers are suspect, so I anticipate them getting picked on. Should be a big day for the running backs though, if their d line doesn't stuff us.
Like it's not windy in Iowa? The dude literally played at Iowa State. He knows how to play in wind, rain, snow, extreme wind and everything weather can throw at you.

Man, Iowa State was a winning team ever year Brock was there. Year after he leaves, they go 4-8 (1-8 in their conference).

Dude is a difference maker.

Of course he is. I agree.
