But we will see how he respond next week.
The last drive didn't look good either, but he still got us to FG range, against a top defense, without CMC and Deebo. So I would say he didn't fail the test, just didn't pass it convincingly.
One terrible game out of the first 14 game of his career, I would take that in a heartbeat for any young QB.
Moody lost the game for us, not Purdy.
Uh, did we even have a first down in the second half until the two-minute drill?

Purdy didn't play well. But he has played great this season and he played on a wet field against a great defense today. Not worried at all. Shouldn't take much from today.

Kind of expected given how wet the field was and how abused our line was getting. A smart coach would have hammered mason way more all game and run max protect on Brock after the first half if he wanted to throw.
Instead we got 0 adjustment of game plan to make up for th sloppy field and abuse the browns dline was putting on the offensive line.

He didn't play well at all. CMC out. Deebo out. Aiyuk dropping two huge opportunities, one a likely TD. A game like this was bound to happen, no need to overreact. Hell even with all of that, Purdy still drove them down with an opportunity to win. Gotta make that damn kick.

Purdy hasn't had to play in those conditions against an elite man heavy D. It really disrupted the timing, especially once we lost Deebo and CMC. A bunch of missed throws or throws into tight coverage was the result.
Losing sucks, but young QB's need these sort of games to learn from. Every QB faces obstacles at some point.

Just a bad overall game played, bad called game by Shanahan, bad play by the o-line and Purdy was off on a lot, bad injuries, bad calls by the refs, and Moody disappointed when we could've won a game we should lose !

Well....this game scenario was a situation I wanted to see sooner or later when it came to Purdy. Facing a good defense, under duress, missing some of his playmakers.....can he 'carry' the load. His game was off all day, but he had the final drive to redeem himself. He was not sharp on a few throws on that drive, but Ayuik's RAC really set up - which ended up being the missed FG. Purdy simply didn't come through all day, but the rest of the team collectively crapped the bed as well, so I can't point the finger at one player (even Moody).
I look forward to him and the rest of the team rebounding next week.

Had a bad game and still put the team in position to win.
How will he respond next week without possibly Deebo and CMC

He played well enough. His biggest issue was grip tbh. He was also pressured an ton. Not reading anything wrong tho

Really bad game by Purdy. He was way off all game. Then again, I watched Brady have a historically great season and go undefeated just to lose in the super bowl cause his o line got annihilated.
this was a perfect storm of rain, wind, injuries, refs, poor execution, o line Vs best defense etc.
Everything that could of gone wrong, did. We still had a chance to win. Only real positive from this game is that Brock delivered on the game winning drive but sucks we missed it

He seemed unprepared and rattled today even before CMC left the game. Uncharacteristic.

His passes were just off a bit on some of them. Enough to lose momentum and rhythm. He hit some good ones on the last drive to have a chance to win it.

Brock was bad. Kyle was worse

The weather and the poor run and pass blocking by the OL really hurt him today. Kudos to him for that final drive even if the FG was missed. Will be interesting to see how he does in the next bad weather game.
