Yep. And beside that Aiyuk drop over the middle he probably had his best pass on that drive.

He had a bad game but it still didn't look panicked out there. Just missing a lot of throws he should make.

We were behind the sticks a lot it felt like.

He looked rattled as hell. Even on the last drive, his first throw was right to a defender who luckily dropped it.

Yeah rattled because he was running for his life on that play and most ofnthe game

As long as we don't have to play in the rain against a tier 1 defense, we'll be just fine!

Was it even raining hard?

Rain was mostly a non-factor in this game. I don't think it even rained much at all in the second half.

Not great if a misting is enough to make Brock look below average.

Outside the 2nd quarter a wet ball wasn't an issue. The Browns DL stuffing the run and getting into the backfield in 1.5 seconds during pass plays, and the wind were larger factors in the 2nd half.

Just an ugly game. Impressed he still got the into FG range despite it all.

His accuracy was off all game. We're talking about different things.

Please tell me what you would need to see for him to be considered rattled? He had happy feet in the pocket, bailed early, threw the ball to defenders, had some ugly penalties. He looked rattled. We went 3 and out on every drive in the 2nd half except the 1 play TD and the last drive which started ugly until a penalty.

I don't think he had 'happy feet' on any real opportunity where he threw the ball and wasn't hit. I'll wait to see the film analysis though.

He had a few rushed throws under pressure and generally struggled with ball placement. There wasn't really any terrible decisions. That's what you see when a QB is panicked.
Wanted to see him face adversity. Liked how he responded. Put us in a position to win the game despite having a rough game against the #1 defense in the league.

Interesting how you were so easy on Trey after the Bears loss yet so harsh on Brock today.

Well, one game was in a monsoon and the other had a light drizzle. Not sure how the two are comparable. Did it even rain in the 2nd half today?

The offense was terrible or the Browns defense was great all day. Even the first TD drive was helped by 2 big penalties. After that drive they had about 130 yards the rest of the game.

True
Too many throws missed and TDs left on the field, pitiful game by Purdy.

Did Chicago have the #1 defense?

Yup, he did what a good QB does, put the game in a winnable position. The kick wasn't an impossible kick. That's a tough number 1 defense in the NFL (browns defense) he did what he could against it, without his star players - CMC and Deebo. Did a good job in my opinion. Just didn't win the game. 1984, same thing - Steeler game - Joe couldn't win it either.

Now I feel much worse. Without those penalties and the Interception from Lenoir late In the game, we'd have something like 3 Points from the offense all game
