That was an easy ass kick to make, shoulda been a gimme
Championship teams win ugly games. Just saying

They also lose ugly games (like the chiefs did last year)

Championship teams usually have reliable kickers.

Did Chicago have the #1 defense?

One of the worst in the NFL obviously.

Not to mention the amount of prep time we has for a season opener instead of a week 5 opponent.

Brock played bad today. It's ok. Still no need to entertain every dumb thing the kneejerk nuts want hang on.

I didn't bring up Trey, but apparently some think that week 1 loss last year has something to do with the offense under Purdy today having the worst offensive output in the KS era? The weather was a non-factor today, so I'm not sure why that game would even be compared to this one.

I saw a ball slip out of Purdy's hand today which I've never seen happen.. Maybe he's had a few slip out in other games and I've missed the other times?
But if it's never happened before, that alone would tell most "rational" people the weather had some affect on the game..
We do know some on here aren't rational though.

Shouldn't have taken the ball out of his hands with 40 seconds left. Should have let him try for the score and used the last timeout as needed.

Bad play calling. Even though he was doing poorly all game he actually looked like he was starting to get into a groove on the last drive.

Should have handed it off though with 3:31 left and the lead. That drive basically sealed we were going to lose. It went 3 and out amd burned 10 seconds.

The browns stupid rollout play call basically gave us back time to even setup a field goal and they had an injury that also saved a timeout.

It sucks because I'm pretty sure if the game was coached correctly it could have been won even with poor execution.
I don't feel as bad now that I know that browns defense been playing historically well. Lmao

Championship teams also lose ugly games.

You can look at any team that won the Super Bowl and find a game they lost that they should have won.

s**t happens, and teams have bad games. It's how you respond to it that matters.

Here's a perfect example

Philly kicked our as 40-8.

We only lost one game the rest of the season.

And? They lose ugly games too. That's why there hasn't been an undefeated team since the 72 Dolphins.

Doug Brien was a rookie kicker drafted in the 3rd rd by the 49ers for the 94 season. He was meh as well, but thankfully it didn't matter.

Hell, we won two Super Bowls with Mike Cofer.
