eh, he missed some he usually makes, but he didn't miss "a lot." If Aiyuk had held the two balls that hit him in the hands, it would have been a different game, and likely, a different result.

That is the way it works in a game like this. Any single mistake can decide the outcome.
i think with brock, since he plays with such anticipation and timing, he was made to be off today due to all of the pressure in his face and from all angles. the only way he could have excelled was to play hero ball, but the defense he was facing was just filled with superior athletes

For his standards be missed a lot. A good 6 or 7 balls were behind or thrown poorly

Hopefully this loss humbles and refocuses him a bit. He was probably paying a bit too much attention to all of this MVP/Elite QB talk.

In a couple of interviews I watched this past week, he was pretty clear that he pays no attention to all that talk.

Lack of humility is not at all an issue for him.

He was off on a few throws but he also put the ball in the same location that he has in the past but the receiver didn't hold it. It happens.

he shouldn't have had to throw that many of those. Kyle had an opportunity to screen pass them all game like they did to us

I will go back and look, but I'll bet the number is closer to 3-4 where he had time to set himself and throw.
Brock could've thrown an additional 2 or 3 picks. It was a bad game. It's ok to admit that.

Despite the bad game, we still just needed to make a 41 yard fg to win & didn't. s**t happens
Time to bounce back

I was at the game. All he has is anticipation. His arm is terrible

I get it. I get that stance, but no. I was shouting to get closer. We had 34 secs with a timeout. At what? The 30. Yes it should be made from there, but that game was different. Get to the 20 or 15. We were capable. I was pissed we settled there. This isn't hindsight either

That's because we can hardly move the ball after the first drive. The last drive was lucky to hit Aiyuk and he ran a good YAC. After than still hard to move. The OL simply wanted to quit.

Arm strength is not his strength. Now sure how anybody watches that game today and thinks that was the source of his poor play either.

it would have been so much cooler if his inaccurate balls were thrown harder!

Anticipation is way more important then sheer strength, even for a DE.

I think Purdy's issue today was the intentional groundings. He should've taken the sack. Those awkward throws could end up with fumbles.

Yup, get our players healed up, or have our 2nd string guys get timing with Brock while the first string guys heal up. Up next Minnesota and an astro turf game. Might be a blessing in disguise if some of our starters miss out this next game.

the ball was slipping out of his hand, probably can't see that from the stands, but you sure can from HD 4k slo mo replay, they called it out, on the broadcast
Eh. I'm not worried. If the end result was Moody making that kick then the conversation would be how Purdy overcame adversity and led a game winning drive etc etc. It just didn't work out. The fact that some expected him to basically go undefeated or put up a 14th excellent performance is a testament to how far we've come at the QB position. I remember in previous years it was just "ok man just don't fu@& up/lose the game." Now the expectations are so much higher and that's partly thanks to Brock's consistent excellent play.

I have a feeling he and the team will be on point vs the Vikings.
