Purdy had nasty in his grill all night long. Still threw ONLY ONE PIC. Not too bad. He should have eaten it on the owu sack too.

My concern was that he was so inaccurate on so many throws. I hope were not looking at any problems with the elbow. That would be bad. He missed a lot so im thinking he was numbed up and couldn't control the ball out of his hand. Just like jimmy in the playoffs 2 years ago.

If its a practice thing with ray ray bell and samuel then practice more with the b guys please and thank you.

Brock is a timing passer. That press man coverage threw off the timing of the routes and he couldn't throw with anticipation. An average QB would have made things worse. He could have thrown 3 picks including a back breaker at the end of the game like Hurts. Instead he drove the offense down field and put us in position to win the game.

By my count, he's 2 for 2 in those situations. He drove the offense down the field to get into field goal range versus LVR last season set up Gould for a game winner in regulation (missed), and yesterday.

Yeah the balls were definitely more slick, he just didn't seem to be spinning it the same after that one slipped out of his hand. I'm sure he'll bounce back just fine.

Browns D-line really seemed to absolutely manhandle our O-line to be fair. good experience for the offense.

I had to watch on DVR - but no time, so fast forwarded to the rookie choke job. But I did see Trent Williams getting ragdolled by Garrett early - on, holy motha.
Kyle, the OL, nor the receivers did him any favours, but there's no excuse to be missing open targets like that. No doubt he'll learn from this and Improve from experience.

It was a bad game all around for everyone. This is why you stay humble and don't go into another teams stadium and try to start a fight. This is why I didn't care for Kittles t shirt stunt as well. Go win a f**king SB and then you can act like your hot s**t. This needed this wakeup call. Hopefully it's back to business going forward.
the kid is clearly not tom brady until he has a vinatieri

He needs to stop driving for the winning FG. That's my takeaway. Ha
Purdy needed a game like this. It's all been too easy for him up until yesterday. Nearly every game wasn't close. Now he knows what so many other NFL QBs face every week. Niner fans are disappointed and want to blame every position but we have to give the Browns some credit. Maybe they're just a bad matchup for the 49ers the same way the Niners are for the Rams.

In boxing there's a saying that styles make fights. It sometimes applies to football as well. This was a weird week in the NFL. Lot's of low scoring games. Chiefs only scoring 19 against the Broncos. Bills nearly losing a low scoring game against the Giants. Eagles losing a low scoring game. Seahawks losing a low scoring game. Only 6 teams scored more than 20 points and only 2 scored more than 30. Very strange day.
Well, Purdy was bound to have a bad game at some point. He needs these kinds of games to learn and grow from. This definitely had the feel of a poor weather playoff game atmosphere. The Browns D came to play. I never thought Purdy got the yips or anything, so that's good. In the end, he drove us down the field for a reasonable FG try to win it.

My only long worry is his grip on the ball in wet weather. He clearly struggled multiple plays holding the ball, including the int. I could see hand size playing a factor as Purdy doesn't have the biggest hands. Harder to grip a wet ball when you don't have monster sized mits. It's really the only area I've seen where he might be at a disadvantage. Thoughts?

I think its a bad coaching matchup. Kyle's had a long losing record against Jim Shorts. Just like Kyle owns the Rams.
Brocky had animals in his face all day, bad stats, but still drive them down at the end to put them in a position to win the game, cant ask for anything more than that

Luckily we won't see a defense like this the rest of the season. The Eagles have a very good defense, but IMO they're not nearly as good at stopping the run or in the secondary.

It's crazy how talented the Browns defense is. It seems like the last 5-6 years they've drafted all the players in the 1st-3rd round that I wanted.

They have 4.3 linebackers, physical and tall corners, giant run stuffing DTs, and arguably the most talented edge rusher in the NFL and probably the best run stopping edge on the other side.

The Browns defense is no joke.

We have to understand that every team will play their best against us, we're not flying under the radar.

Belichick used to give the Niners and Walsh a of of trouble. Partly because of Belichick and partly because they had a lot of great players on defense.
