Kyle would do well to spend some time this week studying what Schwartz does against him. You can bet the Vikings will be studying it. If Kyle doesn't learn from his mistakes, he will keep suffering defeats. Marcus Thompson said Kyle has lost 9 in a row to Schwarz. Time to turn the page.

This looked like just the perfect storm of crap for the offense. O-line getting dominated and playing an elite pass defense, CMC/Deebo/Williams injuries, and a wet ball that Purdy was constantly losing grip on. Purdy was clearly rattled and erratic for the first time. The fact that we had a chance to win the game as time expired is amazing, because I can't imagine a worse showing from the offense.

The loss stings but it doesn't bother me much. Really nothing about how they lost is sustainable. And it took so many things to go wrong and they still should have won at the end.

Also, if you have to lose - do it against an AFC team.

It happens. Likely will happen another time or two. It's the nfl.

Yep, we lost by 2 points against the best defense in the league with a multitude of things going wrong at the same time; bad weather, injuries, bad penalties by us and bad calls by the refs. Would have loved the W obviously, but if it's a loss it took a hell of a lot of things going wrong at once to cause it, so that makes me optimistic.

There is a short list of defenses that have the personnel to play press man coverage against us and are still able to stop the run game.

f**k that best defense in the league crap, playing that game again, without b******t rain and refs, I bet the 9ers drop 30 on their ass.

Dont disagree, and the injuries really through them off. That being said their d-line mostly abused our o-line.

This is pretty much what I was saying. You'd have to be a terrible team from top to bottom including coaches to consistently play like that, and that's not us. I'm still pissed cause we still should've won, but at the same time, we needed something to humble us and keep us from losing focus going forward. Gotta calm down the "unquestioned best" talk. That's earned at the end of the season by whoever is holding that Lombardi trophy.

I just heard that the Browns have allowed the fewest yards through the first 5 games since the 1971 Colts. Under 1000 yards.

Press man coverage on a slow field. The bump and the slog probably led to what looked like Brock overthrows

The fact we had a close game against a Cleveland offense that had its 3rd string QB in... Amazing isn't the word i would use.

With how terrible our offense was, how many injuries to key players, and how boned by the refs we were I would.

Perfect post.👍

All the talk every week is about Purdy never losing a game and being undefeated is only putting a big target on the teams back every week for teams that want to be able to be the first to beat them and have those bragging rights, plus the hype week in and week out is annoying.

Let's just get back to work knowing that even in a down week, with the loss of key players and the worst officiating crew in the league, this team had a win within a makable FG that should have been made.

Get healthy and get back to work next Monday night.

And bring a 47% pressure rate.

But if we want to stop being the bridesmaid, we're going to have to win one of these types of games.
