I think its a bad coaching matchup. Kyle's had a long losing record against Jim Shorts. Just like Kyle owns the Rams.

Kyle would do well to spend some time this week studying what Schwartz does against him. You can bet the Vikings will be studying it. If Kyle doesn't learn from his mistakes, he will keep suffering defeats. Marcus Thompson said Kyle has lost 9 in a row to Schwarz. Time to turn the page.

There is a short list of defenses that have the personnel to play press man coverage against us and are still able to stop the run game.

And bring a 47% pressure rate.

But if we want to stop being the bridesmaid, we're going to have to win one of these types of games.
Glad we don't play the Browns or jets the rest of the way

Yeah I'm not sure what the complaint is about long term. Niners still control their destiny and don't face a defense like that again all season.

It's funny but the Giants with Bill Belichick coordinating them really had our number in the late '80s to 1990. Meanwhile they struggled hard with the Rams, and didn't play defense as well against other less remarkable offenses than the Montana led 49ers.

So for this anomaly, I'm glad none of the real opponents facing us the rest of this season have that kind of cryptonite. Philly in December could introduce a cold element, but schematically they aren't as scary as the Browns. If it rains, could be very tough.

We could beat Cleveland and Jets, but looks like harder than other teams at least from the offensive side of the ball.

Next year Jets come to Levi's and maybe they'll have Rodgers......should be a great one.

As for playoff seeding.......probably most important part is to keep the Eagles below us in the rankings, so any postseason games will be at Levi's. If we have to go to detroit because they live up the hype and get #1 seed with easier schedule, at least it's a dome and not a tough field. Just a loud stadium.

some teams are just a bad match up with a little luck towards the other team. it's the very reason it's nearly impossible to be undefeated in the NFL

WHen two of the most important parts of the machine break, the whole machine usually suffers.

True. Eagles and Lions would be next on that list. Maybe Dallas if they get their s**t together again.

Hopefully we don't have to play any good defenses the rest of the year and can win a Super Bowl without playing anyone capable.

That's true, however, Schwartz has made it work in multiple stops. That would indicate scheme is having a big part of it.

Press man coverage on a slow field. The bump and the slog probably led to what looked like Brock overthrows

Cleveland has a very good secondary. Ward and Delpit are Pro-Bowl quality. Not surprised coverage was good.

if it was more scheme than the players, the league would have been using that scheme against us that last 6 years
Brock had a poor game by any standard. He will be the first to admit it. The one thing he didn't do that so many QBs do when they struggle is turn it over. Yes I know he threw one interception but it could have been much worse with the way the Browns were playing on defense. He didn't try to force passes when they fell behind. That bodes well for his future success. He faced a really tough D without coming completely unglued.

It is both. Schwartz happens to make it works best.
As long as nothing is wrong with the elbow were fine.

Hey the browns played good d. Give credit where due. Hopefully the brain trust can figure it out for next time if there is one.
