* We are unlikely to face a defense that good the rest of the season. They are awesome. Better than the Dallas hype.
* It's not always raining, windy and wet.
* We don't lose 2 great offensive playmakers in every game.
* Despite a bad game overall. Purdy led a game winning drive on the last drive. That's what some questioned. Then the FG kicker missed the kick.
* Classic trap game after getting up for Dallas.

Lots of not repeatable things here. I think we will get back on track soon.

This

after all that, we shoulda won because brock drove us down to win it

If we can play that bad against a great defense, in terrible conditions and still have a chance to win I think it's pretty good actually. Much less bad than people are thinking.

Pretty much agree. Biggest concern (besides pressure kicks) coming out is Brock being able to control the ball in wet weather. Might have to glove up.

Hey the browns played good d. Give credit where due. Hopefully the brain trust can figure it out for next time if there is one.

Dey aiiight, the refs gifted the Browns this win, sure they didn't pay for the whole gift but the refs at least gift wrapped it.

let us not complain, about the refs, you gotta be good enough vs the PJ Walker Browns, that the refs can't decide it,
i don't blame the refs

s**t I blame the refs I'm a fan of the game I'm not a player. Listening to Colin Cowherd right now he's blaming the refs too along with missing Deebo and CMC. Dean Blandino disagreeing left and right with officiating yesterday.

They were awful yesterday. But also agree that's a game we need to win even if the refs are bad. Weather played a huge factor again though

Not really a game that we needed to win since it was an out of conference loss. If our offense would have played to their potential PJ Walker's 53% completion rate, 5.6 YPA, 0 TD's and 2 INT's wouldn't even be a story today.

What's more annoying is people boasting junk like "oh man, you guys lost to a back up quarterback"

Exactly. We actually lost to a historically good defense on the road in bad weather.

I see the kicking game to be a problem. Slippery wet weather is always a problem for this team. I wish they would get better at that and practice it.

Agree kicking could be an issue. To me that is a fix we can make pretty fast if it shows that we need to. Not sure this one game qualifies.

I hope and I'm pretty sure he will be addressing this issue during the bye week. Also anybody notice the color or our footballs? It might not be all on Purdy; the dropped balls, and how it always rears it's ugly head on rainy days, make me question our ball prep.
Dark brown = good
Redish/brown = slippery

Most QBs are going to struggle when 1. the OL is getting annihilated by the DL, 2. 1st downs are getting negative yards, 3. two of the best offensive playmakers are unavailable.

So, yes he struggled. It's a team sport, and the offense overall really struggled. Which is why I was impressed he did enough on the final drive to put the team in position to win.

I suspect he'll bounce back just fine against a far worse defense Monday night.

Eagles aside, we're unlikely to see another team with the defense of the Browns the remainder of the season.

Sure, but practice isn't on the team's W-L record.

Well said. I bet the team learns from this and won't have another let down until after we win the SB.

Whatever. 3rd rounder Moody was not a great decision. Time clock management blunder for Moody made it worse. We still had a timeout. Of course we are going to lose games, this one we should have won. I guess it's a faux pas to criticize Kyle much..and it starts to feel like low-key Shanny Stockholm Syndrome lol.
