I Honestly don't think Purdy Played bad. I feel like he played extremely well up until his first INT. The second one he needed to get a chunk play. I don't think people understand that. He forced a throw because he needed to get a chunk play in order to have a realistic chance of getting a TD. Yes, Did Purdy have a chance to lead us to a win when he threw the first INT. YEs, and he failed to do so. But it was the defense that cost us this game.

He didn't play that bad. Our defense was horrible. Also the missed FG too.

When you look at it through this lens. We had a fumble on offense and a missed field goal. Our defense only forced one punt the entire game. With the limited # of possessions our offense got and we still were within one possession. And the reason for that was because how Brock played. Everyone now wants to blame him because he had one bad INT and then a second INT in desperation time where he had to have a chunk play in order to have a chance to win. I get that he did have bad game last week in Clevland so now everyone wants to come down on him because he didn't single handed will us to a victory at the end of the game.

This game is not completely on him. He's not even the primary reason.

He choked plain and simple. BCB = Big Choke Brock.

You've been waiting for this haven't you? Well enjoy it. It's your time to shine lol

Not waiting on it. I was getting ready to crown him after the Dallas game. I thought maybe he wasn't another Jimmy and we weren't be suckered again. I started to even think maybe he is the next Montana/Brees/Brady like everyone was saying here after a handful of games.

Welp. That's dead.

Sure, sure. You weren't waiting on it.

So, these last two games outweigh all the other good games he's had? You feel like you've been suckered again?

IDK WTF happened. He had been good almost all game and then in crunch time threw two of the worst passes I've ever seen. And I thought Tua was bad last night.

League finally figured him out. Was bound to happen sooner or later, but after 2 games it's safe to say the blueprint on him is out. There really was a reason he slipped to the 7th round, we just didn't want to believe it because we've been so starved for good QB play.

He's a pretty good player. Just not great. This one is not completely on him. Defense gave up close to 500 yards. Missed FG on special teams. Zero sacks on defense with this awesome front 7. Not all Purdy.

I'm not putting this loss on him at all. 100% on the defense, starting with Wilks. Almost every player on that side of the ball is overpaid, starting with Bosa. I'd been hoping Purdy was the answer, he just proved he isn't. Kid certainly played to his pay level, but the defense that only forced ONE punt from that team was atrocious. Imagine if they'd have had Jefferson.

edit: Warner and Greenlaw were the ONLY players on defense that showed.

It was awful on defense. Really bad.

Damn quick to throw in the towel on Purdy
god i just want to watch another super bowl winning 49ers qb in my lifetime. is that too much to ask 😔
Predictable....

Young QB who's entire game is anticipation struggled when the timing on offense got yucked up throwing to WRs he does not have rhythm with yet.....

Not the end of the world, he should not even have been in that situation if we are going to be honest.

Purdy just needs to put one foot infront of the other, and learn from his mistakes. There was plenty of time left, he needed to eat that ball or put it in the dirt at someones feet and live on a fight another down.

Brock was awful. 17 points is unacceptable with the talent we have. Super disappointing to try a young qb with the roster that is out there with him.

WHAT talent? Brock carried the team. He was threading needles the whole night.

This would've been a complete blowout if not for Brock's Brees-like accuracy and his escapability.

The point total was because the Vikings had the ball for so long. The 49ers barely punted the entire game. I think they punted...twice?

TROLL ALERT
I've seen too many great plays from Brock. He's for real. The first pick looked like he was anticipating Jennings to come across. The second was unexplainable. Hope he got most of them out of his system!
looks like we still need a QB guys

For real.

league figured out if you can put up 500 yards of offense or have the game come down to a rookie kicker, you've really got Purdy's number

That second pick looked like he was trying to replicate that layered throw he did against the Cowboys. Poor decision at the wrong time and not enough air on the ball. A gamble at the wrong time honestly. It's concerning but I don't think Brock's been "figured out" or whatever.

This

There is way too much pressure on Purdy when the D is s**t and Moody missing fgs..Kyle being Kyle..Brock can't do it all. Looks like he had the whole world on his shoulders out there. And he kinda did.

This game wasn't close enough to come down to a rookie kicker. 3 picks in the last 2 games say you don't know what you're talking about. Moving on now.

Seriously…I stopped buying QB jerseys, (have Smith, Kap, Jimmy G) swore I'm not buying another QB jersey unless that QB wins a SB.
