He is not looking like the guy
Hopefully he turns it around
time to bump the Allen thread
Other than Warner and Greenlaw, he was the only player that earned his paycheck tonight.

He's still a young player. Hopefully he stops panicking. Had tunnel vision on that last drive.

Well, its true his arm wasnt great. But back in our old days, players were not as fast as they are now. Qb's were able to get away with not having a cannon for an arm. But these days, players are long and extremely fast. You better have a cannon arm if you want to threaten every part of the football field. Otherwise, defenses have a shorter smaller field to defend.

Those two guys were pioneers in an offensive system that devalued arm strength, or at least removed its necessity. Timing based short passing routes… not the classic vertical game.

The big arm guys fail to execute and make bad decisions too. That's what happened to our guy tonight. I wouldn't feel better if he zipped an inaccurate throw with bad timing right to a defender either.

Well it makes it a whole lot harder to be successful if the defense KNOWS u have to pass downfield with time running out. His weaknesses got exposed. You think defenses would play Mahomes that way? I think not.

Think about it.. why were we hearing that Brock was throwing so many more interceptions in training camp? Because our defense KNOWS his limitations and doesnt bother to defend the deep sidelines nor need to defend 40 yards deep. It's only inevitable the rest of the NFL will catch on.

Sure, he's a young QB, but he is still a small QB with a noodle of an arm. Will those attributes improve as he gets older?

Yea, his arm definitely limited our options on that last drive. We needed to get down to the 20 to even be in his range for a Hail Mary attempt.

You keep saying that but it doesn't accurately describe what happened tonight either in their coverage or the mistakes Purdy actually made. You're just making a general claim that doesn't fit what happened.

Jennings was coming open on the first play and the throw was off. It wasn't tight coverage or anybody sitting on a route.

The 2nd pick was a forced throw in an improv situation out of structure. It was a bad decision well after the play had broken down.
Wonder how much is that elbow is affecting him lately

WE all can see how limited his arm is... not sure why the HC can't..

Alot of his bandwagon fans dont see it either tho. It's quite weird. Why can't our niners have a real bonafide QB with an arm? It's like the warriors playing with 6-9 centers that can't jump. SO frustrating.

This is such a stupid exaggeration.

Stop with the low information "noodle arm." take.
