Agreed. That's beside the point here.

So you are saying we will win the superbowl and rebuild our dynasty with a tiny QB with a weak arm?

What do you think Steve Young was?

Steve Young was bigger, faster and had a hell of an arm. Wondering if you ever watched him play. His knock was he would fail/choke against the cowboys and packers when it counted..

He didn't choke. The Cowboys were much better. It wasn't close. Deion changed the balance in free agency for 1 year. Then we lost him to them.

Yes, Deion changed the balance. But after Montana was traded, we all expected Young to continue the tradition of being clutch in the playoffs. Hard to follow after the greatest QB of all time but it is what it is. At least he got 1 for us.

Like clockwork lol

As I said before, Steve Young's real height is 5'10" and he had literally the weakest arm of any QB to ever start in the NFL.

I don't know why this team's fans are so clueless about the team and players from the 80s and 90s. I understand it with the younger fans, but fans who should know better are clueless, and I don't get why.

young didnt have a weak arm, but neither does brock. they're around the same in that department
I love my 49ers and have for 50 years! Nothing changes that no matter what! I stand by Brock he's my QB and we'll win more than we lose with him! Book it! Go 49ers onto the next game! No doom and gloom here, just positive vibes!!

Do you think Brock is making the throw you're named after?

Yes, we love splashing a dose of reality to fan boys who thought JT O Sullivan, Blaine Gabbert, Mullens, Beathard, Jimmy G, Purdy were the real deals.

Lol, that was what a 30 yard throw down the middle of the field? I'll give Young a slight edge in arm strength over Brock but I swear you guys don't watch NFL football.
I get emotional during games and especially losses, but I despite the venting I still think Brock's our guy. I want to see how he bounces back from this and that'll tell me a ton about his mental fortitude. Just last game he lead a game winning drive, despite playing a poor game. The defense alone was the reason for this loss. The team as a whole is set up to play around a strong D, and they couldn't stop the other team. I want to see how Brock responds next week, and feel we'll learn a ton about his makeup.

There's absolutely no reason to think Brock couldn't make that throw. It wasn't any deeper than the throw he hit to Kittle in this game.

That throw was a bullet that HAD to get there fast in between 3 defenders. Sure, Brock can throw 30 yards too, but his balls float like a feather and take some time to get there.

100%. Going on 46 years myself as a diehard 49ers fan - through thick and thin.

It's a looong season plus playoffs. Let's see how they respond to adversity starting next Sunday.vs. the Bengals. Then they have the bye week.

Go Niners!

It wasn't a bullet at all.

Compared to Purdy's throws, it was..

There's no guarantee we going to blow out teams in the near future with the way our D is playing. These are type of games Brock is going to have to win, and win with his arm.

Distance isn't the problem. Velocity is. Brock could get it there, but it would be a high-arcing floater that would likely be picked off (as we saw when he had to press tonight).
