He's done that sort of thing before so why not? He doesn't have Mahomes' arm strength but he does a lot of the same tricks, has the same quick twitch reflexes and reaction, has similar mobility, same cleverness, same awareness.

10x the brain of mahomes who still can't read defenses and gets bailed out routinely by refs every f**king game.

Bruh
In the mental aspect of the game they share a lot of similarities: cold, decisive, able to adapt, vision, instant mental reactions, wanting the down the field throw over the dumpoff, etc.

Imagine if Mahomes didn't have refs save his ass every 4th quarter in the SB. He'd be the next Jim Kelley. Recommend you go the chiefs forum where you belong LMFAO. Are you a taylor swift fan also?

He's 10x quicker than Barry Sanders, 10x tougher than Dick Butkis, 10x stronger than James Harrison

No I'm just not a homer. I did go to school with Taylor Swift though interestingly enough. She got booed at the talent show.

They don't even play with the same play-style, even if their production was the same (which it definitely is not). That's honestly one of the dumber takes about Purdy. (a) Purdy is mobile. (b) Purdy throws deep. (c) Purdy actually reads defenses post-snap. I mean come on.

That Alex Rollins who makes good videos really put out a video last year claiming Purdy and Jimmy G are the same QB.......

I like him, but WEAK.

If they were truly the same, we'd already have won a 6th Super Bowl possibly 7th.

I stand by what I said weeks ago. I'm not worried about Purdy at all.

In fact, it feels good to not even care about the qb thread because we finally have one.

All we are waiting on is how he plays from behind and in those key moments etc. Those opportunities will naturally happen, so it's wait and see.

More concerned about giving him a proper OL now. Wasn't as big of a deal before since the QBs were largely secondary players to the run game. Now they need better pass blocking, "good enough" isn't good enough anymore. I want to see them build a line like KC, Philly or Detroit.

Whether or not ShanaLynch will adjust their thinking remains to be seen but they need to put more of a premium on it.

NC has been playing chess. He knew that our time would come when we finally get our franchise QB and we need to protect him.

Nah. NC is a broken clock. Still right twice a day.

ppl just trying to figure this out, one data point, at a time, that's all it is, so I can't fault anybody for anything
enjoy the ride I say, we got a heck of a squad, good time to be a 49er

Mahomes has 1 offensive weapon with the 19th ranked pass protection. If the two switched teams, Brock's season would look alot like Mahomes and vice versa. Because while pass protection has been nearly the same for both, Brock has 2-3 more weapons than Mahomes. People need to cut Mahomes a little bit of slack this season. But yea, Brock is our boy and wouldn't trade him for anyone.

Richard Sherman is on point.

They both play loose and confident and with great spacial awareness. I don't think you can teach that kind of confidence.

i was a little worried that Brock would be more timid after his injury but he hasn't at all, amazing. I remember Derrick carr before and after his injury, totally different player. Plays almost scared and timid in regards to getting hit. Brock is out there on a sinking ship still thinking "I can hit the throw, baby!"

Not too long ago, well, January I think, Steve Young was criticized for comparing Brock to Mahomes, saying he had The Force. Some on here, as well as "analysts", like Nick not-so-Bright, were skeptical of the comments. I said Young was right .

I saw that and lost my mind in rage. Fortunately, he made one a couple months later and rescinded that claim, IIRC.

Good point, simply unreal after what was a potential career altering injury,
my fav was KS on the TD to 85 he said it looked like a grenade getting thrown out of the foxhole.
something along those lines

Feels good to have Steve Young agree with me.
