It appears that Purdy is doing more of the heavy lifting in this offense, which makes me feel he's adding to the system, not just a product of the system.

2019- 60.9% or 2,453 YAC out of 4,029 total passing yards.

2020- 53.4% or 2,306 YAC out of 4,320 total passing yards.

2021- 59.0% or 2,617 YAC out of 4,437 total passing yards.

2022- 64.1% or 2,597 YAC out of 4,049 total passing yards.

2023- 45.8% or 1,319 YAC out of 2,878 total passing yards.

So now you are ripping Shanahan even before a ball is snapped.....

Roughly 20% drop in YAC. Interesting.

Wow. This is why you are a YAC Bro. Thanks!

Seems like BCB's not dinking and dunking as the narrative claims....

Or he's not as accurate as Jimmy G in the short/intermediate passing game.

Yep. I have also noticed a drop in playaction rate as well. The screen game rate is around the same.

Brock is 8th in the league in intermediate pass attempt %, 13th in deep pass attempt %, 33rd in short pass attempt % and 29th in passes behind the line of scrimmage.

A successful pass gains at least 40% of yards required on 1st down, 60% of yards required on 2nd down, and 100% on 3rd or 4th down. Denominator is pass attempts + times sacked.

Brock is #1 with a rate of 54.9%

One of my favorite stats.

Colin Cowpat giives all the credit to shanny, says purdy is B/B- qb. Why? Cuz Jimmy G put up bad numbers for a coach who got fired. See the connection there?

Around 2:10.

If Brock plays well against the Eagles and we win, this will taper down a tiny bit. But it won't be until we win the Super Bowl with him that he will prove he is truly elite to the media.
I'm just excited to what he will bring to the game. In years past with our Other QBs, I kind of knew what to expect and it wasn't going to be anything exciting.

He's literally leading the NFL in completed air yards per pass attempt at 5.0, just ahead of C.J. Stroud (4.9).

YAC bro is like the local statistician. Lmao I love it.

that's actually a really cool data point regarding how much more aggressive Brock is, IMO. I feel like it demonstrates how he throws it further down the field than jimmy/previous QBs.

I know this is only one stat, but it goes to show why I think the system QB narrative fit the previous QBs we've had here, not Brock though.

Thanks Yac BTW.

Maybe even stronger than pre-surgery. Recall early in the season he was missing those open deep throws. Clearly he's been working on improving that and it shows! Whatever perceived weakness haters have tried to pin on him, he's been quieting those doubters

It's not like he was underthrowing those. He was overthrowing those. So maybe it's just getting used to throwing down the field again.
