it does include an extra game, so I guess it isn't AS impressive, but impressive none the less.

It's incredibly impressive. He's a 2nd year player. That's unbelievable.

I'd say a late 4th quarter comeback but I just don't see this team getting behind like that late in the game again.

the problem is that the defense is playing lights out. so it'll be super hard for us to be down a lot unless we are sucking ass on O, which wont happen if we are healthy.

Yeah that's why I said a viral/highlight/wow type of play. That's more likely than a 4th quarter comeback.

Just with the timing of the remaining big games, I think a good performance against the Ravens, along with a win, and no bad performances in the remaining games ought to have him in prime position.

Let's break the record in 16 games, so there's no debate!

If that happens I agree he'd deserve it. But we hear all the excuses, so the media heads who vote on it do too. I doubt they're watching QB school or jonnydel football academy videos and learning the nuances of QB play. I'm just assuming they're idiots like most casual fans and could use 1-2 solid highlights to really rubber stamp the outrageous stats.

Brock losing the MVP to dak, but winning Super Bowl MVP wouldn't hurt my feelings.

I would think its moreso that they tend to look at the team's record and the QB's overall statistics... which puts Purdy right at the forefront barring another couple game slip by the team. I think him vaulting to the top of the odds after this week's game against the Eagles is a good demonstration of that idea. Dak being a primary contender is another good example of it.

I think the Ravens game will be vital. Not just to our chances of getting the 1 seed - but brocks chance to lock down the MVP. Ravens are a well coached team. Idk much about their defense but I feel like the ravens always have a respectable defense.

Need to have a really good game on national TV, christmas day, AT HOME. I feel good about it.

Their defense is elite. Strength of the team. Glad it's a home game.

I was just reading that their DT is having a great year, at double digit sacks and like 8-9 straight games with at least half a sack. our o line will need to step up.

You have any insight to how their linebackers/corners/safeties are?

Would like to see a current list. I believe Emmanuel Acho said he had a vote during a radio interview with 95.7... which kind of blows my mind, lol.

It's not that far fetched. At this point in that season, they were averaging 30.08, which would have been 481 points. But for the remaining four games they averaged 36 points a game (despite scoring 14 in the finale, when the starters only played about a quarter). We are currently averaging 29.3, which would put us at 467 if it were a 16 game schedule (498 if 17). But, let's say we average our normal output the whole way except we score 42 against Washington and Arizona, and 35 against Seattle. Then we hit 530, which averages to 31.15, which is about a quarter of a point less per game than the 1994 49ers.

Lots of teams have scored that much against those guys, so it's not impossible.
