Need to have a really good game on national TV, christmas day, AT HOME. I feel good about it.

Their defense is elite. Strength of the team. Glad it's a home game.

I was just reading that their DT is having a great year, at double digit sacks and like 8-9 straight games with at least half a sack. our o line will need to step up.

You have any insight to how their linebackers/corners/safeties are?

Looks like their pass defense has allowed the second least amount of yards in the nfl. Their run defense seems to be on more of the middle of the pack side. their defense has allowed 2 less points than we have.

I didn't realize they were that good. Impressive. it'll be a huge test for brock and the boys.

Incase you're curious. lol I just googled it

Would like to see a current list. I believe Emmanuel Acho said he had a vote during a radio interview with 95.7... which kind of blows my mind, lol.
with acho and some of those other guys.. Purdy could come out on top

Their yards per play allowed is 4.2. That's all time great level. For comparison, we're averaging 4.8, and the 1985 Bears, 2000 Ravens, and 2002 Bucs averaged 4.4, 4.3, and 4.2 respectively. So yikes, that's going to be a tall task.

it does include an extra game, so I guess it isn't AS impressive, but impressive none the less.

It's not that far fetched. At this point in that season, they were averaging 30.08, which would have been 481 points. But for the remaining four games they averaged 36 points a game (despite scoring 14 in the finale, when the starters only played about a quarter). We are currently averaging 29.3, which would put us at 467 if it were a 16 game schedule (498 if 17). But, let's say we average our normal output the whole way except we score 42 against Washington and Arizona, and 35 against Seattle. Then we hit 530, which averages to 31.15, which is about a quarter of a point less per game than the 1994 49ers.

Lots of teams have scored that much against those guys, so it's not impossible.

Please email that to Kyle.

Things obviously can and will change with more games but Acho basically wrote off Purdy's chances of getting his vote in said interview (based on the three game slide).

Damn, that's really impressive. I'm not impressed with who they've played - a lot of sorry ass teams but it's still really impressive to do that regardless.

they changed the voting this year - i think each sportswriter submits their top 5 candidates and they get points depending on where they're ranked on that list.

Other teams lost 3 games or more. So what? You want undefeated? It's ridiculous.

Yea, not exactly a murderer's row of offenses... especially with the Bengals being a bit of a mess for the bulk of the year. Most impressive win was against Detroit at home, and as good as their offense is, ultimately if you can pressure Goff he's useless.

Brock's 3 subpar games weren't nearly as bad as Dak's. That is some BS. Atleast be fair in your assessment, Acho. Brock has had 1 game with a sub 80 passer rating. Dak has had 3 sub 80 passer rating games. Including the one against us that was worse than Brock's against CLE.

does that mean Acho is not voting for Purdy ?

Not necessarily. He just said those things would stick in his mind. So who knows what that means? Would he vote for him? Maybe and maybe not.

Yeah, Goff crumbles in those situations. So it'll be a good test to see how good they really are. I think we will beat them convincingly but it's not a cake walk game.
They beat a bum watson too etc. No really impressive wins but I guess you can only play who's on your schedule
harbaugh is a really good coach. Lamar is always dangerous. That defense seems formidable.

Their LB duo is pretty good so it'll definitely won't be a cake walk, but I've been proven wrong before.

I think it'll be tough because of harbaugh - he's light years better than Sirianni. Lamar is also extremely dynamic with his legs.

i haven't really watched Lamar this year but anyone that can move like him is a serious problem. Lol
