Haven't seen a ton of their games but I know they wanted to move to a more traditional offense this year.

my udnerstanding is that they tried to be more traditional with their passing attack and it wasn't working, so they resorted to what he does best - rushing the ball. he's never been all that impressive of a passer. His stats in his MVP year were really good but it was mainly cause teams were so worrieda bout his running ability that they were hesitant in their reads and that created massive passing lanes. He's slowly become worse as the years have gone on, his injuries too.

similar to how hurts is hurting right now and they're hesitant to rush with him like they want to, which is hampering his ability to pass because he isn't a very good pocket qb.

He's having one of his best passing years.

Well he's one of the highest paid QBs ever, so he should. It's still not all that impressive to me. Idk what his YPA.YPC are though, if it's low - then his completion % isn't all that impressive. (Similar to how Geno smith leading the league last year wasn't all that impressive because of how he did it).

Lamar is an exceptional football player, he's a good qb. I just think his unbelievable mobility is what makes him so hard to defend. I don't think he's a bad passer, just don't think he's great at it either.

like SmokeyJoe said - his weapons aren't that great though. I wouldn't say they're bad but losing that TE was a huge loss for him. From the stats I've seen - they're a top rushing team and really good defense. I'm curious to see how they do against us, we are by far the best team they'll play this year.

Either they're forreal or products of a favorable schedule. I suspect they'll be tough because of how well coached they are.

Lamar has almost identical pass attempts to Purdy, but only 13 TD's, 2 yards less per attempt, and about 20 points lower on passer rating and QBR. And yes Andrews is out for the year. Zay Flowers is an explosive rookie WR but that's about all they have for weapons. I'm guessing we'll be a 6-8 point favorite at home.

Same, and Kinlaw with the two sacks is getting more and more impressive too. Doubt if the 49ers will keep him either. Rather the 49ers try to keep Chase Young. Kalia Davis looks good and looks like he's getting better too.

Brock Purdy also had his 4th game this season with 3

Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers as the only other QBs
to do that.

Most Yds/Att through 12 games in NFL History: 1984
MVP Dan Marino (9.31), 1988 MVP Boomer Esiason
(9.37), 2004 MVP Peyton Manning (9.41), 2011 MVP
Aaron Rodgers (9.42) and 2023 Brock Purdy (9.59).

that is all
Hate to beat a dead horse but holy smokes it's unreal how much production we are getting from a guy selected with the final pick of the draft. Some call it luck, others call it excellent pre-draft work. It's definitely a bit of both. It has definitely bought a ton of good will towards our front office. Stealing a MVP candidate in the 7th round erases a lot of previous sins. Lynch and co aren't going anywhere baby

And this is all behind a shaky pass protection Oline. Imagine if he had an oline like the Eagles....

Yeah but what has he really done though? Lolol j/k. That's some damn good company there. Amazing.

Probably because it's a short week for us and traveling literally completely across the country. Lol especially coming off a highly emotional and important prime time game. I thought it would be higher but I'm sure those are are factors.

Brock Purdy has a +26.1 passer rating DVOA. Washington has allowed a league worse average passer rating of 106.0. There is a good chance Brock has another perfect passer rating game this season.
Something super cool about the eagles game is that none of the players discussed amongst each other that they were going to wear all black (funeral colors). Lol that goes to show you how locked in and aligned the guys are right now. So damn cool.

Nah no way. I think you're sorely underestimating the Ravens. I think it will be at most -4.5 point favorites. Lamar is an elite QB. He'll be far tougher to defend than Hurts was. With that being said, they also have a mini gauntlet in playing the Rams, Jaguars, Niners, and Dolphins. They might be in desperation mode for that #1 seed as well. Gonna be an interesting matchup
If we remember last year, when Brock became the starter, he had some plays where he was making guys missed, going out of the pocket, completing off schedule passes. If he was still doing some of that, the media would be all over him as MVPish. But to his credit, he improved his proficiency in the offense, right read, accurate, on time, in stride, so his receivers can YAC. He doesn't have to do much of those squirrely off schedule plays. Media be like-- meh, system qb. Where's the wow highlights...all we got from this kid is him throwing the ball to his receivers, and they run for a TD Borrrinnng..

If he was a top 5 pick, the media would be crowning him Hall of Fame worthy. Even Nick Wright would be on his knees.

You're right. It always goes back to where he was drafted. People can't wrap their minds around the last pick of the draft qb, can be this good, so quickly. Surely he's gonna turn into a pumpkin and proved them right to be skeptical.
