If we remember last year, when Brock became the starter, he had some plays where he was making guys missed, going out of the pocket, completing off schedule passes. If he was still doing some of that, the media would be all over him as MVPish. But to his credit, he improved his proficiency in the offense, right read, accurate, on time, in stride, so his receivers can YAC. He doesn't have to do much of those squirrely off schedule plays. Media be like-- meh, system qb. Where's the wow highlights...all we got from this kid is him throwing the ball to his receivers, and they run for a TD Borrrinnng..

If he was a top 5 pick, the media would be crowning him Hall of Fame worthy. Even Nick Wright would be on his knees.

You're right. It always goes back to where he was drafted. People can't wrap their minds around the last pick of the draft qb, can be this good, so quickly. Surely he's gonna turn into a pumpkin and proved them right to be skeptical.

it will slowly change no point harping over it

Before it was he was lucky at the very least people acknowledge he's good they just say he is benefiting a lot from YAC which the stats don't even back up. I think a lot of it is because so many people watched this game and the plan was to attack the middle of the field with quick throws then throw deep.

But you right ultimately it stems from his draft position

He's behind Mahomes and Allen in this category.

I know. That 66 yard TD to Kittle and the 76 yarder to Aiyuk were soooo booooring.
Sooo, have the defenses had enough time to figure him out yet?

Nah. I think they need another off season to go over his MVP film.

Well apparently the blueprint is to out score him but it's nearly impossible to do that vs an elite niners defense.

Hehe. I totally forgot about that stupid take lol

They've tried FiveGuys burgers and 0 blitzes. Not working
We can secure a playoff spot this weekend with some help 😍.

does anyone know who will be leading the NFC east if the cowboys beat the eagles!? That'll mean they split the series and have the same record?

Pretty sure it goes by conference record, which the Eagles have only lost once. They would still be ahead, no?
I guess we gotta root for Vegas or the Giants this weekend? I would go into the Black Hole myself and root for them..which says a lot about how I feel about this 49ers team lol

Everything these dudes said. 1

Straight facts. Anytime anyone wants to downplay Brock as an MVP candidate, they need to show them this vid

This/these guys either read this forum and/or are posters here...

It's head to head, and then conference record. If Niners have the same record as Eagles, Niners on top cause they got smoked 42-19

Oops NVM, I read the OP wrong

I would think so. And the only team to really benefit from an Eagles loss would be the SF49ers.

Well if they lose to the cowboys (which is the scenario I'm talking about) - that would be 2 conference losses for eagles. Unless you meant division losses.

it would be 3 conference losses for the cowboys - so I think you're right. They'd still be in second place and need Philly to lose another game. While Dallas wins out or only loses to the AFC.

Big game for Dallas. Right now, Eagles 3-0 in the division, while Dallas 3-1. If they're both 10-3:

Dallas 4-1 in the division (80%), while Eagles 3-1(75%). Dallas would temporarily holds the division title until the Eagles play more divisional opponents.
