Purdy ran a lot of options plays and designed runs in college. He's more mobile than Trey Lance.

Runs like Lamar Jackson, throws like Drew Brees.
...Kyle Shanahan.

So, man, you want to find Drew Brees who can move like Lamar Jackson.

Brocky ran for 1,000 yds his senior year in HS

Didn't everyone? Brock is not a runner. He's aware of the rush and is able to pick up a few yards here and there but he's not like Jackson, Fields or Allen. He's not a threat to take off and go 40 yards for a TD. That's fine. I don't want him running a lot.

I expect the winner of Dak and Hurts to lead the MVP talk after this weekend, considering it's a week-to-week league and they're an east coast bias. Purdy's actual shot to win the award will be Xmas. If he can beat arguably the best defense and top 4 team on national TV right before votes are submitted, he'll get it.

Dak>Hurts
Purdy>both

Lamar and the Ravens will be a test. Makes me uncomfortable lol. I still have a bad taste in my mouth over the SB. And now, a Christmas game. But so far, BP and the Niners have made all the holidays awesome!

Yeah I only want him doing scrambles here and there to get first downs if he can do it without getting hit.

i always laugh because his initial burst and quickness is incredible but his top end speed is hella slow. Lmao it's like initially no one can keep up with him and then after the first burst - anyone can catch his ass. Lol

Brock does seem fast enough that I think he can run a read option play.
Not that I think we should, because that would expose him to a potential big hit, but I think he could pick up 5-10 with a well-timed play.

It'll be a huge game for the offense to see how they do against this defense. We should have armstead back by then, I expect him to miss the next two games and come back for the ravens.

i have a ton of respect for the ravens coaches and front office but I question how good they really are because of their schedule. It'll be a huge test for both teams but I'm glad it's a home game for us.

Game is in Santa Clara, where I don't think the Ravens have ever won.

We've never won in Baltimore, and I think we could overcome that, but won't need to deal with that until 2027 (or possibly sooner, depending on that 17th game out of conference rotation).

If the Ravens can truly make the Super Bowl, could be some cause for concern, but honestly......to me it meant KC and the rest were really too weak to do much this year. And I could only imagine Lamar in the big game would get flustered AF.

I forgot it's a home game, I think these road games recently just made me assume it was in Baltimore lol.

Yup. It's a prime time night game and Brock has never lost one of those in college or the pros.

This. Jimmy ran for 700 yards in HS

No, not drop back style QB prospects. His HS tape is interesting to watch and the type of offense he ran.
Is Purdy... Jeff Garcia with better mechanics but a slightly weaker arm? Or did Jeff just throw deep more? Idk.

They lost the Monday Night against Minnesota

They feel similar in some ways, but Garcia definitely felt more like a scrambling QB.
Though I feel like there's enough game tape of Brock Purdy that we don't need to do comparisons.

Garcia threw it deep more. He had better possession deep receivers who could win jump balls. I'm not even sure his arm was better than purdys just that his receivers were better at catching deep contested passes. He had better blocking than purdy has this year and the style was closer on the scale toward air raid than closer on the scale to west coast that we run now. They were both still wco but Garcia's features more prayers thrown up deep.

I just hate Steven Ruiz, Nick WRONG (sometimes mistakenly called Wright), Mangini and others. Because of them stupid dolts think Brock is no good. Former QB's and even current ones mostly like him a lot. Including Aaron Rodgers. Rex Ryan really loves him. It does bother me the disrespect he gets. Because he really is having an MVP season if you look at it statistically and just watching the games eye test too. I really wish we didn't miss that FG. Because then even the "can he come from behind without all the pieces" question would be answered. He moved it down the field and we missed the FG.

Mostly they use his draft status against him and that he's not a big guy. But it's the processing, great decisions, timing and anticipation and throwing accuracy that they miss.

Why let what talking heads think about our qb bother you? It's wasted energy. If you know, you know. If you don't, you will find out soon enough.

Did the niners piss off Michael Robinson. He's always talking trash about the niners and now Purdy, he's a total seacock. We drafted the dude what's his deal.

Just think of it like a trade of Robinson for Sherman. I'll take Sherman's praise over Robinson's.

Good point...Sherman was sooo much better than Robinson.
