Brocky ran for 1,000 yds his senior year in HS

Didn't everyone? Brock is not a runner. He's aware of the rush and is able to pick up a few yards here and there but he's not like Jackson, Fields or Allen. He's not a threat to take off and go 40 yards for a TD. That's fine. I don't want him running a lot.

As others have said, Brock's mobility is sort of like Trey's mobility. Brock's scored some rushing TD's and gotten first downs with his legs. So there's that dimension to his game. Guy's like Jimmy, Flacco, and Tom Brady didn't have to mobility that Brock has.

Brock no slouch when run and juke. We just don't see a lot of it. I wonder if Kyle pull out a qb design run for Brock in the playoffs or....SB

Remember how underrated Alex Smith was. That run for a TD against NO. Brock is like that, except Brock has more wiggle.

I'm sure Kyle has that play plus a whole bunch of RPO plays in his back pocket if he needs it with Brock. Brock's arm is pretty good too. Brock can throw it 50+ air yards without too much problems. He doesn't have to do a baseball windup throw, for example, to hit Kittle for a 50 yard TD. 95% of the time, Brock is throwing with anticipation, touch, and timing so the ball is coming out soft, with an arc, and catchable for his receivers. I think that fools casual 49er viewers to think that Brock doesn't have a pretty nice gun for an arm.

Trey ran around like a fullback because everyone he played in high school and college were scrubs. Brock was more of a scrambler to either buy time or move the chains (a more transferable skill set for the pros) - but he wasn't bigger and faster than the competition, just trucking guys. Brock played at a high school that plays a lot of top competition schools (better than his school), he wasn't playing scrub Kids out in the middle of nowhere minnesota. Lol then he went to a power five conference and def was playing against top athletes.

trey was kind of the opposite mobility wise to Brock. Trey had good top end speed but average short area quickness (relative to the top mobile QBs in the nfl). Where as Brock has elite short area quickness and bad top end speed. Lol

And he's really good at throwing when he runs. He has really good mechanics. It's not that easy.
The throws he made scrambling to Kittle and Samuel against the Seahawks were really impressive.

Brock has great short area quickness, which is one of the more valuable athletic skills at the position IMO. He's obviously not a runner.

Of course Lance is more athletic, but just cause he's more athletic doesn't mean he's a better scrambler. A lot of guys are more athletic Than Brock, he's better at scrambling than a lot of QBs. He has nearly identical 10 yard split with LAMAR JACKSON. Lol

so it's just a fact that Brock is a better scrambler, he's better than most QBs. He also is slow af after those 10 yards. Lol
so outside of the initial scramble, Brock is slow. But in regards to buying time and avoiding pass rush - he's amazing.
