Why are you policing the thread bro?

If he had Brocks anticipation, timing, and arm strength, this wouldn't been INT lol

Brock would've let it go before the receiver made the cut. Safety wouldn't have a chance.
Replay showed Muth gave up on the route

Woo's fishing line caught someone

Kyle on the radio, said he intially thought it was an overthrow until he saw it was a perfect throw lol

Get coped Kyle. Brock will stress you, and then soothe you giddy with a throw.

What I'm saying is that none of that's accurate. Look up their combine information, not what the player claims. It's well known that Bree's is under 6 foot - they talked about on live broadcast before during games.

everyone inflated their height and weight during recruiting (for just about all sports - NBA just made everyone correct their actual heights. Guys like KD have always been 7 foot plus and lebron claims to be 6'8 when he's really 6'10-11.

im not trying to say you don't know what you're talking about. I'm saying the narrative behind player heights at QB is mainly based on falsehoods that the players created to make themselves a better prospect.

so I don't consider Brock to be small, he's pretty average. I personally think that when you're under 6 foot - you're on the small side of NFL QBs. Not many fall in that catagory. We have to compare them to their peers, not normal people.

most guys we look up on their stats page for their physical height/weight are inflated (or less than weight).

it isn't like they ever measure these guys outside of the combine. There isn't an annual data NFL does to release it. It's all private info the teams have.

I use mockdraftable which charts every single player that's been at the combine & Brees is 6-1

the avg height of a NFL QB is 6'2 1/2 and 219lbs. Brock is in the 8th percentile as far as height goes and 19th percentile at weight.

https://www.mockdraftable.com/player/brock-purdy

look I'm a fan of Brock like everyone else. We don't need to makeup up stuff like his size isn't small for the position or he's avg lol….simply not true. Also it doesn't matter because he's playing well dispite that. Having a strong lower body helps him a ton too (much like Wilson).

Highly doubt that mockdraftable, or whatever it's called, uses all the data from the combine seeing as how it has all the generic heights.

im not making stuff up. Lol you know when EVERYONE is saying you're wrong about this, you might be wrong. I really don't care if you believe it or not but you've clearly never done any research on it.

On a live broadcast on Monday/Sunday night football - the commentators talked about how he was actually below 6 foot. Lol

"Along with his rare accuracy and signature birthmark, Brees is also known for his subpar height (by pro standards). There's the story of his weigh-in at the NFL Scouting Combine still floating around, in which Brees allegedly glared at the league examiner measuring him until the score was changed from an initial 5-foot-11 and 7/8 of an inch to this official reading of 6-foot-0 and 1/4 of an inch. He continued down the scouting report." -

no credible report even has Bree's at 6'1. Lol unless they're generously rounding up. In Brock's case you can round up because he's 5/8 of an inch. I don't even really care that much about height unless they're under 6 foot.

Worrying about a guy being 6'3+ is as dumb to me as thinking that a guy needs a cannon of an arm to be elite.

All I'm saying to NY is that Brock ISNT tall but he isn't short either. Also, a lot of the recorded heights for guys are off. Just like their weights are off.

Brock's issues arent his overall height, it's his short arms, legs, and smaller hands. Lol he's built like a T rex almost. That makes someone visually look short.

on the flip side, Aiyuk is the same height as Brock but long ass arms and legs, with large hands. He doesn't look short in the slightest.

Talk football please.
Pointing out a QBs height, weight or 40 time are facts. Saying he's great or elite are subjective statements. It's obviously not a necessity that successful QBs need to be over 6'3" and 230 lbs or run a 4.5 40. Size can be an asset but they aren't a guarantee of success. Same for speed. The ideal QB would have the size, speed and all the other traits that make a QB great. Very few in history have had the entire package.
You guys are posting completely FAKE numbers. Steve Young was never 6'2". Brees was never 6'1". The Wiki Young page is completely wrong.

Drew Brees 6'0" 209 lbs. = Purdy taller and bigger.

Steve Young 6'1" 215 lbs. = Purdy same size.

Joe Montana 6'2" 205 lbs. = Purdy 1 inch shorter and a more solid and sturdy build. Montana had little bird legs.

Tua Tagovailoa 6'1" 227 lbs. = Purdy the same height and some have him listed around 220 lbs. So it's not that far off really.

Russell Wilson 5'10" 215 lbs. = Purdy is significantly taller.

Kyler Murray 5'10" 207 lbs. = Purdy is significantly taller and bigger and more sturdy too.

All kinds of QB's past and present have played at that size or below what Purdy is. Including some very successful ones. So stop obsessing about it so much.

If Brock was taller, he may have been considered a better prospect and not been there at pick #262. I love that he is agile and elusive with that short area quickness. To me, that is more helpful than being a couple inches taller. He has no issues seeing over the interior OL to throw to the middle of the field, and doesn't get passes batted down.
