You could almost write a movie, you just don't see that much poise, he looked like a 10 year vet game 1. Then the injury, and would he play this year, well he was back way ahead of schedule and balling. So it's been nothing but extremely impressive. We got a chance for a Purdy parade here, in Feb.

If this was a movie, it would seem over the top improbable. Almost like a corny Disney movie but it's actually happening. Lol it's wild.

God I hope we top this year off with the SB. Will be a magical season.

Brett favres first nfl pass was to himself, also. Lol it was batted and he grab it and ran. Lmao fun fact

Steve had one of those

Anyone did this and score? That would get you two TDs (1 pass TD and 1 reception TD) on the stat in one play. It might break the NFL scoring stats.

Marcus Mariotta

Thanks. I was actually checking to see if it broke the scoring stats, but Foxsports scoring stats only goes back to 2018.

The movie needed that part of the Heroes journey where he had a big ordeal to overcome, so the injury last year needed to happen for the betterment of the story.

Being a 7th round rookie. Last pick in the the draft, where no other player ever selected there has even thrown a pass in a game AND being fourth string on the roster initially. Lol

That's not enough of an obstacle, need to rip his elbow off. Lmao poor b*****d

that's exactly it and it was vs Hurts / Eagles, we will see them again, that's just storytelling 101

Brock's agent will push for everything he can get his client, but I wonder if Brock will be the type to follow Brady's example and take just a little less in order to keep the great players around him. Either way he's gonna make bank.

We won't know until we know.

My guess is he will accept a comparatively modest contract to keep the team together. In an interview with him on Sports Spectrum, he said he isn't motivated by material stuff - he wants to showcase the talents God has given him. From the way he dresses for pressers and the like, I would say he is walking the talk right now.

In two more years, the top 10 QB money is going to be crazy. He is going to be very wealthy, even if his pay is not in the top 10.
Y'all are in denial, Brock is gonna secure the bag and get the most he possibly can.

That is the stance every agent will try to take. It makes them look good even if it puts the team in salary cap hell.

I suspect there may be some tension between Purdy and an that tries to break the bank.

His pay is absolutely going to be in the top 10. If you think he's going to get anything other than the highest contract in league history (assuming he continues on the current trajectory and injury free), you're kidding yourself. He's not Tom Brady on his 4'th contract a decade into his career.

I tell ya that's the disconnect. Ppl say he's MVP yet he's not worth top 10 QB dollars, okay, which is it?
this is why I think $400m over 5, money and contracts keep going up,

Don't see anybody who thinks he should win MVP also arguing he's not worth a contract he's due to sign in a year and a half at the earliest.

Just this page, I see this: He is going to be very wealthy, even if his pay is not in the top 10.
and: My guess is he will accept a comparatively modest contract to keep the team together.

I hear those sentiments a lot, basically he's top shelf, except not when it comes time for contract, he'll give us a deal
Could happn.. imo he's already giving us the sweetheart deal now, we are on it as we speak, if anything, we owe him, not the other way round.

Because someone getting a 400 million dollars contract needs to show quality and consistency over more than 1.5 years, in my opinion.

Saying you think it's possible he takes less money (primarily because you want him to take less money) has nothing to do with whether or not you think he's worth the money.

If he plays this well I 100 percent think he's worth a fair market deal. I still would love it if he signed for less, and hope he does.
