he will get paid. Most likely ATLEAST $50M a year but I do think there is a real chance he takes less than he can to help the team remain sustainable.

when I say less, I'm not saying he takes $25m instead of $60M. I'm saying if the market value is $65M - then I can see him taking $50M-$55M to give the team some extra room to maintain the best chance to compete for chips.

he isn't like all these guys who spend $50k a month on outfits, which is an extremely poor way of managing money, but to each their own.

Could happen. Who knows.

I do think it's safe to say we aren't going to see a 60 percent increase in QB salaries in 1.5 years.

Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me. Five years ago jimmy got a record and he was at $28M or so and now guys are closing in on $65-$70M.

regardless of what we do, since we don't have a stingy owner, i could see us doing a structure similar to what hurts got. Google it and you'll see how it provides salary cap space the first 3-4 years or so relative to what his actual earnings are.

I'm not too worried about the next 4-5 years though, in regards to how Brock's salary will impact us. It'll be an extension - so his fourth year will still be cheap for us but he will get a fat bonus that'll make him happy. We will spread that out over numerous years. Then we will creep into it.

The fifth year will be a big jump from $1M to like $30M but it'll still be a good deal relative to other salaries. So I'm not really worried about maintaining this team for the next handful of years. Just need to keep doing what we've been doing, finding good young talent and impactful cheap vets with expensive studs mixed in that we cherry pick.

he's got an agent to negotiate the best deal he can get , i dont care how he dresses lol

And his agent also works for him - aka will have to do whatever Brock says he wants him to do.. Brady had a top notch agent too, did he always get the best deal for him?

sometimes the best deal isn't necessarily the most money. Brock knows that winning requires good teammates. Do you think Mahomes would take a pay cut rn to have some decent Wr?

what about Allen? You think he would take $7M less right now to have a good second option?

brocks going to get paid, no doubt, I just don't understand why some people think he's going to scratch and claw for as much as he possibly can. He's going to be a very rich man, I'm sure he wants to be a rich man on the field too. Compete annually.

Don't kid yourself. He's not John boy Walton. He will go for what the market dictates at that time.

This whole media and social media narrative about Brock is sickening. If any1 watches this kid week in and week out, it's so obvious that he's special. Then you get these talking heads that know nothing about football trying to tear him down. F all the outside noise, we know what we got in BCB. He just keeps winning , and they just keep moving the goalposts. Maybe when we get 6 they will stfu

Probably not. They will say he needs to do it again to prove it was not a fluke. 2 league MVP's, 2 Super Bowl MVP's minimum before this nonsense stops.

Seems kinda similar to 2023 9ers O

Aiyuk - 1st 25th pick
CMC - draft #8 overall but the 9ers only spent a 2nd, 4th, 5th and whatever else round picks, it still doesn't equal a top 10 pick.
Deebo - 2nd round
Kittle - 5th round
Purdy - 7th round

I won't say Purdy has less, but Kittle, Purdy and Deebo are playing much better than what they were projected to be in the NFL.

exactly, both teams are not stacked with blue chippers

Most of the time when people talk about lack of punch on the 49ers offense, they are talking about the very early years...everyone recognizes the Rice/Taylor years as an epic collection of talent.

Just like when they are talking about Brady...they are not referring to the prime Moss years.

Personally...to me....the 10-6 93 season and the Super Bowl run in 94 was probably peak 49ers talent.

you could make a solid argument that that group was more explosive. Watters over Craig ( I personally liked Craig better...but he was not as explosive) and Marc Logan over Rathman ( I personally liked Rathman better for how we used FBs....but Marc Logan was a monster at running the trap...crazy first step for a FB ....almost GORE level first step...(think he averaged 5 yards a carry as a 49er FB) That is a top 20 "what if" in 49er history... I think you could have built a mike Alstott "light" version of an offense around Marc Logan. He might not flirt with 1k the way Tampa did....but the dude was better for a time than his opportunities would show.

Can't fault the 49ers for the lack of use of Derrick Loville and Ed McCaffery on the 49ers, but clearly that was crazy depth...but you are not sitting Watters and Rice for them. Loville went on to be nearly a 700/700 back after Watters left and well...McCaffery went on to be a multi year 1000 yard household name. So again something Joe did not have.
