Seems kinda similar to 2023 9ers O
Aiyuk - 1st 25th pick
CMC - draft #8 overall but the 9ers only spent a 2nd, 4th, 5th and whatever else round picks, it still doesn't equal a top 10 pick.
Deebo - 2nd round
Kittle - 5th round
Purdy - 7th round
I won't say Purdy has less, but Kittle, Purdy and Deebo are playing much better than what they were projected to be in the NFL.
exactly, both teams are not stacked with blue chippers
How do you define "blue chips"? Im not trying to say you're wrong, just curious how you see it. I personally look at blue chips as guys who would do well in any system. But maybe you're saying that they weren't guys who came into the league amazing - outside of maybe CMC.
I see Aiyuk, kittle, and CMC as guys that would fit about anyway scheme and still be good. Although they had to be developed by our staff.
personally, I'll never apologize for our team being excellent since 2017 at identifying, not just diamonds in the rough, but excellent fits for our scheme. Developing them. The only all pro we have that we didn't draft and develop is Trent Williams.
Brock may not be as good in another situation but I think that can be said for just about any young qb. Brock is in just about as ideal of a situation as possible for a young guy. But we've also seen that guys like Lance and jimmy weren't able to do what he's been doing.
so like I said, I won't apologize to these dips**t people for the 49ers being excellent at identifying players with great talent, love for the game, hard working, excellent fits for the scheme. That's just called doing the front office/coaching staff doing their job at an extremely high level
