Damn what did I miss?

I actually saw him quoted as taking a shot at the refs… for calling a legitimate penalty.

That was aside from his on-field freak out.

Melt down!!!

State Farm is bad luck!!! Lol

Just saw it. What a clown.

Trent is such an articulate, obviously highly intelligent man. It's a pleasure to hear him comment.

He's the ideal 49er. Amazing player, intelligent, team first guy, student of the game.

just a special dude. One of the greatest heists ever. Lol I'll miss him when he retires. Really looking forward to getting him a 49ers ring.

Seems like a dude that will be involved with the organization in some way afterwards, too. Just a class act in every respect.

He isn't your average ball player. He's like cmc of the o line. He obsesses over Everytime h and understands it like a QB. A true student of the game

We shouldn't veer too off topic (and I know I started it), but all successful NFL players are clever as hell. This game takes brains as much as muscle. But Trent speaks so well: measured, confident, without cliches. He should be on TV after retirement, but I fear that he's too plainspoken for TV.

Anyway: Purdy. Obviously a checkdown artist who doesn't deserve to be higher than #20 in Ruiz's amazingly astute Power Ranking of best QBs in the NFL (including future draftees, retired players etc).

They started tonight on the Eagles, Cowboys game talking about Dak for MVP then continued to show that he was 2nd or third in about every category. Behind guess who Brock!! I just SMH and was like is the media really going to push this agenda for Dak?
Best QB we've had since Steve young. Yeah, he has a lot of weapons, but so did young and Montana. And Brocks pass protection has not been stellar

Now we're seeing him burn teams downfield, he's not just a racist guy

Bad look for Mahomes today at the end of that game and in the postgame comments. 4 L's in 6 weeks now.

Exactly. I doubt we will ever see Brock totally destroy another team member like Mahomes just did. SMH

Mahomes crying but the WR was lined up in the neutral zone.

Eh, agree to disagree. I'd argue most players aren't obsessed with the game. Not like Trent is. Hell I remember Mcnabb didn't even know a game could end in a tie. Lol

im not saying they're dumb, just not as obsessed with the game as you'd think. I mean just look at all the dumb ads takes a lot of them have as analysts. Lol

Not knowing every single rule of the particular league you're doesn't mean you aren't obsessed with the game tho. These 2 things kinda dont connect.

Fan obsession vs. Athlete obsession are night & day contrasts

Remember when people said Kyle doesn't call these types of plays…that it had nothing to do with the QB?

arm strength looked pretty there

If you're a qb, and your entire job is to do what you have to do to win a game, and you don't even know the overtime rules…. Lol

im not going to debate this with you. It's as simple as just listening to a lot of them talk football on these host shows. Lol even other players talk about how little a lot of players know.

hell lebron James even said most nba players don't really know how to play basketball. And when I say "basketball", that means the game as a science and team sport - not single handily trying to show off or anything like that.

a lot of athletes just play the game cause they've always been good at it. Lol

I def agree with you but I think it's two fold here. I think Kyle called plays with a route that goes deep, but used it mainly as distractions when jimmy was out there. The second part is that I think Kyle didn't call nearly as many plays where he expected the qb to go deep because Jimmy rarely attempted it and when he did, he wasn't good at it.

I'd say McNabb was VERY obsessed with football,...all his life. "PLAYING" football.

Training,...practicing,....more training.....I'd count as obsession. They're not just "good" or "talented" at a sport like football.

Couch Potato/Nerd obsession is......just a different realm. That's all.

As much as I love the game of football, I wouldn't dare try to compare my obsession with the sport to theirs.

Brock said in the postgame interview his first read was Juan but he went with Deebo because he saw Adams creeping down into the box.
